Thank you

Thank you Nick Pope a season defining save IMO.
That save probably nets us another 120m.
Lose today and we were in big trouble, that save galvanised the fans and players and probably ensures we stay up.
But it doesn't mask over the improvements needed for me, a bit of good fortune doesnt abd shouldn't change the plan...

Re: Thank you
I would argue that this was THE big save...
That goes in and we’re 2-0 down within a minute of the restart. We found momentum after that and maintained it despite the penalty that followed.

Re: Thank you
That was a hell of save.
Strong hand that pushed it away from goal.

Re: Thank you
Important win that's for sure, but let's not count our chickens just yet,we're still only 5 points above the drop zone.
What the 2nd half showed is we can take points off the big boys, another 4 wins should be enough to ensure survival, but you've still got to put the points on the board.
It just shows how condensed the league is,one win and we're touching mid-table,instead of looking over our shoulders at the teams below us.

Re: Thank you
Not denigrating our win in any way but thank you Brendan Rodgers for resting Chilwell and Thiellmanns. Never take the Clarets as a walk in the park.
BTW Ricardo Pereira is the best RB I’ve seen in many a year. Never seen him have a poor game either defending or attacking.

Re: Thank you
Even if we had lost we would still have been averaging over 1 point per game which is survival. Morale might have taken another hit but the season is a long one and only the total after 38 games matters. No-one is presented with the League trophy nor moved down to the Championship after 23 games!tiger76 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 6:19 pmImportant win that's for sure, but let's not count our chickens just yet,we're still only 5 points above the drop zone.

Having said that, as Sean Dyche said after the game, that is 9 points from the last 7 games, which counts as decent PL form for the majority of teams in this division!

In the middle of our goal Nick Pope
All you bloody nay sayers get behind the team ... they need all of us ffs ...

Ive seen a couple of suggestions (Leicester fan forum & local paper comments) that there's been some sort of (officially not admitted) problem with Ben Chilwell (and Choudhury)- a rumour that they each missed a training session in the week without permission. I believe Tielemans is "tired" and so rested on the bench legitimately.
It does seem odd that Chilwell & Choudhury were not even benched whilst they were also missing Ndidi- unless Brendan underestimated the opposition today of course.
Re: Thank you
Chelsea are after Chilwell apparently. He may have had his head turned and asked to leave.
If Re: Thank you
The 120 million save !! Hope so. Let’s see where we are after next 2 games. Think we can finally beat The cheating Gooners. Hope Bardsley is not injured and still think we need to spend

Re: Thank you
How good was it to see us score a winner against Leicester after they missed a penalty? Especially if it keeps us up.
The opposite of what happened in 14/15 with the Taylor penalty miss.

Re: Thank you
Yeah I’d argue the save just after half time was THE save that gave us some momentum. As jdrobbo says, he doesn’t save that and it’s 0-2 and game over.
The penalty save was class tho wasn’t it?
