A Bright Monday Morning Post
Taken from my good old pals that i frequented when i live in Spain
The Benalmadena Claret Supporters Club Lounge Bar Bonanza Square .Thanks and wrote by Brian the founder miss you guys
This is not the time to get involved with all the Hype about wether SD is good enough or the board to release cash for players if you have supported Burnley for as long as I have which is 64 years first time on the turf in 1956 we are used to the bad times along with the good times you have to remember we are a small mill town club punching way above our weight in the best league in the world
A result today would go a long way to restoring our faith in survival if it goes against us we still have enough games left so let's get behind everybody who walks on that grass today wearing claret and blue
COME ON YOU MIGHTY CLARETS LET'S BE AVIN YER

There aren't and mills in Burnley, not in the sense your mate means; haven't been for what might as well be a century for all it's worth, and apparently if you point out that Burnley is a bit of a post-industrial $hithole you're "talking us down" and whatnot, and folks repine at the thought and vote for posh entitled w@ankrs because they don't feel represented by such and such a whatnot and so on and so forth and yadda yadda yadda (tell your friends in Spain that joke!), but I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment. It's nice we're doing so well, relatively speaking. Four wins and a draw will do us, then here's to another season of anguish!

Soz for the confusion. Wrote "and", 3rd word in, should have been "any". Autocorrect. Hope this clears it up!

A hundred years since we had any mills???????
I remember mills from the 1960s when I worked in one of them in my holidays as a student. There were plenty of mills still working at least 60 years ago.

Boundary Mill isn't too far away and last time I was there, it looked to be alive and well to me.

The big limiter is the competition...the very biggest clubs in the world, combined with an incredibly low population of circa 75000. Overall catchment will be larger but not hugely, when compared to others.
As an example of risk. Yeovil, 40000 pop, rose to the Championship. One season, where they were crushed. Lost money. Went down....and down....and down.
Burnley, by comparison, would be temporarily solvent, should the worst happen. 1 season though, then a huge rebuild or crash.
We should be rejoicing that we are even near the Championship, let alone the prem!
