Memorial Garden

Post by Hbclaret007 » Mon Jan 20, 2020 10:35 am

We attended a pre-match service in the Memorial Garden yesterday. It was organised by the garden management group and was a really wonderful event.
Poems and short prayers for the loved ones who had passed away during the year. This is an excellent facility, well managed and a lovely place to go to remember the people we held so dear, in the shadow of our great club.
There was even a prayer for victory at the end - divine intervention from above!

Thanks to everyone who made it so special. My mum who sadly passed away last year, would have been 'well chuffed' with the tribute - Once a Claret - Always a Claret.

Great to hear. It looks fantastic. I bet especially so on a cold sunny day like yesterday.

Great post hbclaret and I’m glad your experience was so good. It was the same for my brother and I last year when our dad was remembered at the service before the Fulham game. At the end the chaplain turned to the ground, raised his eyes skyward and said “and please Lord , 3 points today” . As yesterday the good Lord delivered !!

Looks a very fitting place for remembering ex clarets

I noticed yesterday the mock up subs bench. Is that where Gibson and Vydra practice all their moves?
