Very high profile for an all Premier league tie that won't be televised. Probably like you,Tony, I'm wondering what sort of attendance this tie would have attracted back in the day when the FA Cup meant a lot more.

This ground would have been full back in the 50's early 60's but of course Norwich were 3rd Division but with a good cup run in 58-59 when they lost to Luton in the SF having taken care of Man U Spurs and second division Sheff Utd in earlier rounds.Came up to Second Division in early 60's
When the capacity was 50,000+ we would have had about 35K on ( when we thumped Chesterfield in 57 we had a paltry 27600 on but next round when we beat New Brighton 9-0 there were 41K on
Oh how the Cup has been belittled over the years since the big money of the Premier League

If that’s the case then there isn’t a decent domestic cup competition anywhere. The FA Cup is a mess now.

Personally I'd find a good cup run far more exciting than a relegation battle, seems like I'm in the minority though.

I think prefer might be more appropriate. Nothing exciting about struggling near the bottom of any league. Agree a good cup run can be exciting but there's just an inevitability about the FA Cup now and the likely candidates for, say the last 4. Add to that no replays after this round? and penalties deciding who is eliminated. Did I hear right that 5th round games were set for midweek too?

I think this has become an important game considering we still have to play them away, 2 comfortable home wins against them would be good

Yeah 5th round games are the first week in March midweek to accommodate the winter break that's been brought in. Beat Norwich and hope for another decent draw and before you know it you're in the quarter finals. Would help if a few of the big boys drew each other, Man City seem to get an easy home game every time these days.
