Chilwell & Choudhury
Fined by their teammates for missing a training session. Specific to Sundays match.
The reason they were “rested”.

Re: Chilwell & Choudhury
Hmm, these kind of sanctions are usually done in good spirit to pay for a night on the beer but it usually comes from the manager. I remember seeing a list of Chelsea's player fines for this season and just a couple of days of heavy traffic over a season would set a player back more than what most normal people earn in a year, but the key point is it was all dictated by Lampard. I wonder if Rodgers is too friendly with his players. He's obviously a great man manager but without discipline being enforced by the boss people get sloppy, and looking at Leicester's form I wonder if they've settled, feeling content with their work for this season. All conjecture, obviously, but letting lads in their 20's and...er, Jamie Vardy...enforce their own discipline seems like a recipe for disaster. Great fun while you're winning, dangerous when you're not.

It says in the article that wasn’t the reason they weren’t playingTricky Trevor wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 12:03 amFined by their teammates for missing a training session. Specific to Sundays match.

It is thought manager Brendan Rodgers is not overly concerned by the behaviour of the two players, and the fact that the pair were rested from the squad to face Burnley on Sunday is not seen as a punishment.
This happens at all clubs at all levels

"They missed a very important session for us in the week, which was the build-up leading to this game, so we could not bring them into the game," Rodgers said.

Re: Chilwell & Choudhury
The comment I find most annoying is the fact that the fines go to the player's Christmas party !!!

I'd just rather have them put it towards charities instead of themselves. It's not as though they would struggle to afford a Christmas party.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2020 9:34 amThis happens at most clubs. As does the players committee, this takes the onus off the manager of bias for or against an individual.

Re: Chilwell & Choudhury
Never understood the rationale behind it. Probably team bonding. You’ve let the team down so pay to the team?
Can’t argue with your point though.

they should know the tactics by heart.

It seems the money was split between the players’ Christmas party fund and the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Foundation, which benefits local causes in Leicestershire.
