If this is true then literally half the Spanish Liga are involved...
https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... rt-la-liga
Osasuna
Getafe
Real Betis
Valladolid
Deportivo La Coruña
Celta Vigo
Espanyol
..all mentioned in connection with fixed La Liga matches in 2013 and 2014.
Makes you think eh? What if it's like this everywhere?

It's all one big money cesspit, and we're part of it unfortunately, like it or not.
At least our financial contributions are negligible in comparison.

Re: Match-fixing scandal in Spain
TBH it SEEMS rather far fetched and like this guy may be spouting off flights of fancy. IF Osasuna wanted to pay off another club to throw a match, that would involve everyone at that club right down to the actual players, because ultimately they are the ones controlling the result. How would that ever stay a secret for over 5 years?? Surely there would have been people (it only takes one) who at the time simply spoke out. (Even in what is apparently the most corrupt country in the entire world! )

If it's happening there, it will be happening in other places. All of this betting- fuelled corruption will have its way. I just hope it doesn't happen here. But, don't hold your breath on that one !
