One of the best, if not the best, team performances under Dyche in the Prem. Every single one of them were superb but special shout-out to Jay Rod who never stopped pressing, running the channels and scored with an absolutely outstanding strike.

McNeil was terrible in the first half an hour or so.
But it didn't matter, he's still a young lad and he's already been forgiven

Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
pope - 9 never properly tested, partly because his positioning is so good he makes it look easy
lowton - 9 excellent, cut the daft mistakes out
tarkowski - 9 mountain
mee - 9 very big hill
taylor - 10 as good an english left back as there is, top going forward, comfortable defensively and the tackle on martial is one of the best you'll see all season
cork - 10 one of a few to get top marks tonight, he never stopped pressing and bossed fred and pereira
westwood - 9 back in form, could still be a bit calmer though - not everything needs to be a first time pass
hendrick - 9 worked his socks off, kept possession well with lots of nice close passing, vital work defensively
mcneil - 8 him and taylor carrying the ball down the left are a real threat, great understanding they've got
wood - 9 his movement to completely bamboozle maguire for his goal was brilliant and its a fine, well-controlled finish; easy to spoon those wide. He looks a better footballer alongside jay
Rodriguez - 10 his energy and desire set our tempo from the start, we played better football again, mixing it up well, his skill and intelligence dropping deep are a huge factor in this. Goal of the season contender - a lovely bit of short passing to open them up and an absolute thriker of a finish.
High marks but fully deserved. This was men against boys stuff and its not often Burnley are the men in this fixture. As soon as Rashford was confirmed out and we beat leicester, i was sure we'd beat united this time but I didn't expect it to be so comfortable.
This was the epitome of the team performance, everyone put a huge shift in for each other and our quality made us clinical when it mattered. You'll hear mostly about how bad united were but make no mistake, this result was all about burnley. We imposed ourselves on the game, took it right to them and didn't let them play. Pope hasn't had a serious save to make. After a few turgid weeks, this was a real boon and it just shows once again how tight things are in this league. you've got to be patient and keep doing your thing.
brilliant night.

He is good, however, there have been better defenders such as Alex Elder or my good friend John Angus.
Having said that ---I do like Charlie and I also like Phil who always does good job.

Wow. Brilliant. Hope their half and half scarves blew away on their way home. Their hilarious uselessness was so much down to our ability to expose it, be in no doubt. To go from that 1st half v Villa to this in that space of time is testament to Dyche’s management. What a man.
Now that we’re safe, let’s go for the cup!

I'm absolutely wrecked - not sure I'll ever come down to earth after this. I've waited all these years for it and so proud of every single one of our players tonight. I thought of tens for a couple of the players but then thought it was unfair on the others - so.

Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
Scanning the Player Ratings I don't think I can recall
so many 8, 9 and 10's.
And no one gets less than 7.
Compared to ratings for the games afore Leicester
where not many, if any got 7 and 3 & 4's were common
we've improved exponentially.
Almost beyond belief given the starting eleven hasn't changed much.
Starting Jayrod has possibly given us the chance to play a different way
and his interchange of passes with Wood before he thundered it into the top corner
was as good a goal and finish I think I've seen this season.
Certainly a goal of the month contender.

Hard to pick faults in that, though when that Utd. team plays badly they are pretty ordinary. I thought we'd missed our chance to beat them at Turf Moor earlier in the season but that was exceptional last night.

What a joy to watch.
Roll on Arsenal, more of the same and theres no reason we can't break that duck

Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
Might not be the most important win in our illustrious history but for me its the biggest. I've waited a long, long time to see us win at OT and I'm still buzzing. Its really hard to give marks after a night like that because they are all hero's and will go down in BFC folklore for what they achieved last night.
Pope 9-Looked very confident and assured and back to something like his best.
Lowton 8-Improved vastly after a very sticky opening 30 minutes
Tarkowski 9-What can you say, he was immense.
Mee 9- See Tarks, it meant a lot to Ben to beat MU.
Taylor 8-Cant be too far off an England call up but needed to be on his toes to deal with United's best outlet Wan Bissaka
Hendrick 8-Very industrious and linked up well.
Westwood 8-See above
Cork 9- Immense and JC never gets the credit he deserves in my book.
McNeil 7-Very tentative start but improved as the game evolved.
Rodriguez 9*-I've been beating on about JR partnering Wood for a good while. He is pure class and his movement, especially in the final third is part of what we have been missing.
Wood 9-Worked hard and love the way he bounced off £90m Maguire for his goal.

Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
Brilliant performance and I backed them at 7 to 1 !!
Pope 9 - assured and also swept up very well.
Lowton 9 - really pleased for him as he’s had a tough spell.
Tarkowski 9 - great game
Mee 10 - brilliant in both boxes
Taylor 10 - outstanding. Surely got to be near the England squad.
Hendrick 8 - great effort
Cork 10 - never stopped and Fred was largely anonymous after being their best player in the last few games.
Westwood 8 - composed and also helped stifle their bang average midfield.
McNeil 8 - Wan Bassaka very difficult opponent to play against but he kept on going and played some nice passes in the second half in particular.
Wood 10 - great goal and lovely assist
Rodriguez 10 - another brilliant performance just like on Sunday and that goal will go down as one of the favourite for all Burnley fans for many years to come.
Special mention for Phil Jones.
Was delighted to see his name on the team sheet. Actually started the game well but then a disgraceful challenge on Jay as he caught Jay’s arm with his nose...that could have broken Jay’s arm. Then gave away the stupid foul on Wood which led to the first goal...and was back to his normal donkey self for the rest of the game.
After Wood scores his goal and ran off for his celebration I think he gave someone a tap with his arm and laughed at him - couldn’t quite see who it was but it looked like a United player and I do hope it was Jones !!
Anyhoo brilliant night !!!

United won’t be happy with a couple of chances they missed in the first half but sometimes you need a bit of luck, they got it with Woods first header anyway.
Once we went in front our work rate and shape was phenomenal.
We always work hard, even in the defeats, but last night they found that extra level again.

Re: Manchester United v Burnley - Player Ratings
One of the great nights. Rode our luck a little bit in a frantic first 20 minutes, but after that controlled the game completely with a phenomenally committed, disciplined and canny performance.
Pope - 8 - Nothing like as extended as he was on Sunday, but made a couple of steady enough saves, and took the pressure off the back four with his willingness to come and claim.
Lowton - 9 - This might prove the footballers equivalent of a gap year, the night when Lowton found himself again. Pretty ropey for 20 minutes when his recent struggles looked to be weighing on him, but showed an extraordinary amount of bottle to put that behind him, grow into the game and produce a virtually flawless performance thereafter. The game plan demanded we defend well down our right and he did everything asked of him.
Taylor - 9 - Brilliant last ditch tackle in the first half, albeit after he'd got slightly caught out in the first place, and the most composed of our players on the ball, particularly in the first half. Didn't have as much defending to do as Lowton but executed it superbly.
Tarkowski - 9 - Utterly commanding at the back and calm in possession when he had the chance (other than one casual moment when Lowton bailed him out).
Mee - 9 - An absolute masterclass in defending the penalty box. Blocked everything, headed every cross.
Westwood - 9 - Perhaps he could have shown a bit more composure in the first half, but lovely pass to set up the move for Jay's thunderbolt. But otherwise, the absolute key to this performance, along with....
Cork - 10 - probably his best game for Burnley. Kept the ball tidily enough, and between him and Westwood their workrate was astonishing - they both executed a high press which reaped rewards with the second goal, but also had the legs and determination to ensure that whenever that press was beaten, they got back before United had the run at the two centre halves. United were never able to do dictate the game in midfield last night and that's testament to these two.
Hendrick - 9 - the third musketeer alongside Cork and Westwood. Again, our game plan involved guiding United into blind alleys down their left, bunging up the space and forcing them to their far less creative right - he did all the defensive work that came with that to perfection, used the ball well and pressed whenever he could.
McNeil 8 - Not a vintage night in terms of his final ball, but his composure and weight of pass was crucial in getting us up the pitch after half time, and he did a sterling defensive shift on Wan Bissaka.
Wood- 9 - a vintage Chris Wood goal, withstood some rudimentary defending from the oafish Jones and got through a mountain of work whilst giving us an out ball when he could.
Rodriguez - 9 - An absolute rocket of a strike capped a superb performance of hard work, tireless running and moments of real quality when he got the chance. The extra mobility of his partnership with Wood neutralised Matic and made sure we always had an outball.
You won't see a better executed game plan than this. Admittedly, it did take us 20 minutes to settle - not unlike the game at Burnley, Uinted played fast, and we struggled to keep up with their tempo and (Taylor excepted) to look after the ball to calm the game down. United had two or three chances in that spell, but once we'd weathered that storm the game was ours for the taking. After Taylor's last ditch tackle on Martial, United didn't actually create a clear cut opening - and whilst we didn't have lots of chances ourselves, we were utterly clinical with those that came our way, and whenever we got the chance to get up the pitch and express ourselves, we produced some tidy football with Rodriguez central.
Defensively, the plan to offer up space on our left for Wan Bissaka but deny space for Martial, James, Williams and Mata in the other two thirds of the pitch worked a treat - United found themselves going down carefully created cul-de-sacs designed by Burnley, and long before the final whistle it was only the memory of what happened last year, and the fog, that left any doubt about the outcome.
Onwards and upwards now.
