FA Cup
100/1 to win it.
Got to be worth ten quid if anyone’s money.
Some big sides already gone with at least three more premier league clubs going out in the fourth round this coming weekend.

Re: FA Cup
Two wins and a few draws to safety with no European spot to lose unlike two seasons ago - got to go for it this year. Best chance we'll ever have as a club. No Long/Gibson partnership on Saturday, no Vydra starting, no Pieters, just put tonight's glorious team or something closely resembling it out against Norwich PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and go for it, Sean. We took Peterborough seriously enough for their level, but let's not blow it on Saturday.

Can’t see us going for it, players need a rest. Same 11 has more or less just played for 2 entire matches.

Re: FA Cup
First team this weekend. We’ve a fortnight off coming shortly. Go for it Sean.
Re: FA Cup
Agree we need to go for it, but we need our best 11 fit for the next 14 Prem League games.
An injury to Rodders or Wood for instance would really mess us up. So maybe Long and Vydra up front on Saturday

Re: FA Cup
I'd leave Jay and Woody out. If they are fit and fired up, we'll get goals against Arsenal. I wouldn't risk it.

Re: FA Cup
I fully expect it will be a sensible mix. Check out how everybody is feeling; any minor strains, tiredness etc and then fill in the holes with squad players, also taking into account existing injuries.

Re: FA Cup
I can't see either team prioritising this game over the League. I’d expect weakened teams on both sides. I also think that Home Advantage will sway it.

Re: FA Cup
Playing all of our central midfielders in this cup game, I'd be surprised to see happen. With JBG seemingly close to returning, I'd start Hendrick in central midfield, resting Cork or Westwood.claretburns wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 9:59 amHart

Re: FA Cup
No reason not to go strong on Saturday,it's important we carry on the momentum built from the Leicester and United wins, also we don't play Arsenal until the following Sunday,so plenty of recovery time for the squad.
Re: FA Cup
2 or 3 changes tops, let's keep the momentum going. Plus we've got a 2 week break after the Arsenal game. A bit of a cup run would be great this year.

Re: FA Cup
I like this. McNeil needs a rest and let Woods nose heal a little more and its still a strong side. JBG hopefully getting some minutesclaretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 10:07 amHart

Re: FA Cup
I can see there being wholesale changes.
We have to balance a Cup run with giving minor injuries and niggles time to repair and also giving the squad members not playing game time. They might need it in the run in.

Re: FA Cup
Someone got the lineup spot on last time. Can’t remember who it was.
If we just get a good few draws for once, we stand a good chance.

Re: FA Cup
In centre mid and upfront we haven't really got the option of making wholesale changes. I think Hendrick will play in the middle with Cork, and with Vydra completely out of favour Wood and Jay will both play. Lennon on the right and JBG on the left if fit. No reason why Pope shouldn't play, Hart is going at the end of the season so it's not like we need to try and keep him sweet.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 2:58 pmI can see there being wholesale changes.
