There seems to be an interesting parallel between Maguire and Keane.
Both reasonably established Prem defenders, both playing well enough for international selection, both move on to ahem, bigger and better things and both suddenly appear to transform into mediocre players, at best, and at times appear hopelessly out of their depth.
Keane and Everton seem to have steadied their particular ship but United have a long, long way to go.

Re: Maguire and Keane
Maguire is a victim of his ridiculous transfer fee. If he’s worth £80m, what price Jaap Stam? What price Nemanja Vidic? What price Rio Ferdinand?

Re: Maguire and Keane
Same here, I've seen Maguire a few times and he seems surprisingly slow to react. His shepherding of Woody for his goal was abysmal. No nous whatsoever. Woody was following the line of the ball from the free kick, knew exactly, as v Leicester, where Mee would nod it down to and anticpated the chance of a shot.
Maguire stood still.

Maguire, Tarka and Mee
If you had to choose 2 of them it would always be Tarka and Mee
