A few changes I'd have thought. All of the above, plus Brady and potentially JBG or Vydra too.

Would certainly expect one of the front 2 to get a rest.

BPF
Lowton Long Tarks/Gibson (if fit/available) pieters (if fit)
Lennon Hendrick Westwood Brady
Vydra Jay rod

That should be enough to beat Norwich’s 2nd team given they are bottom of the league and have a smaller squad than us.

Agree. And wood needs a rest where as jay could actually do with more games.

by claretonthecoast1882
Hart
Lowton Tarks Long Pieters
Lennon Hendrick Westwood Brady
Jay Vydra

BPK
Lowton Long Tarks Pieters
Lennon Hendrick Cork Brady
JRod
Vydra

As per the other Norwich lineup thread, I agree with:

Hart
Lowton Tarks Long Pieters
Lennon Hendrick Westwood Brady
Jay Vydra

Assuming there's no fitness doubts.

With SD saying JBG will play a part this frees up another “ regular” 1st XI player . Most of the above teams seem about right and I seriously think we’ll have too much for Norwich’s enthusiastic yet powder puff style

Team for tomorrow will be picked purely with Arsenal in mind. One or two need a rest or should not be risked. Immediately I would think of Mee Tarks Taylor Westy McNeil wood

With that in mind I would go for
Pope
Lowton Long Dunne/ Gibson Pieters
Lennon Hendrick Cork Brady
Vydra JRod

Very similar to most on here

Hart
Lowton Long Mee Pieters
Lennon Hendrick Cork Brady
Vydra JRod

Potential slight tweaks would be Gibson for Mee and Westwood for Cork

Was an unused sub for QPR in 3rd round but not sure if that cup ties him or not

Everyone seemingly going for.Vydra. Just can't see it happening. Long coming on before him at Everton must have been a severe body blow and his situation has continued to fester since then. Hardly sticking my kneck out suggesting there is something very.much amiss there and the sooner it is sorted out the.better it.should.be.for.all parties.

I agree, think it will be Wood and Jay Rod upfront. Vydra is seemingly more out of favour than ever. If he only got 15 minutes in the 3rd round why are people so convinced he'll start tomorrow?

If we win tomorrow, and keep on winning, the players will have to play an absolute maximum of 18 more games in 17 weeks. I can't be the only one that thinks that's not an impossible ask? Even if we win 5 games and win the cup, will it make the task of winning two -perhaps even three - of our next 14 games so impossible?

Have the sports scientists proved that a player can't work a Saturday-Saturday-Saturday schedule for weeks on end without getting tired, poor lambs?

As for the risk of injury - if they're going to get injured, then let it be on 25th January rather than 2nd February.

There's no reason why everyone who's fit shouldn't be considered for selection tomorrow,we have one foot in the safety door already, and crucially the feel good fator has returned, also we don''t have a league game for 8 days,it would be disappointing if one of BFC'S greatest weeks for many moons ended in a sobering manner, can we win the cup doubtful, but we can possibly progress to the later rounds and generate some excitement.it's 20 years since we even got as far as the QF'S,given our relative success during that period, our cup record is dire in the main, and that's even prior to SD taking the reins.

Not concerned about what team SD selects apart from this is an ideal opportunity for at least one of the youngsters who have been involved in match day experience to make the next big step.

What's the situation with Gibson? Is he still injured or is it more a case that he's on his way so he's not being risked?

That's a very loaded question,Matt and one you can't possibly expect an answer to.

Hasn't been in full training due to a groin problem.

Brentford rest 7 players and Leicester rest 9 players
And some of our fans have a go at us.
Are there any teams in the top 2 divisions who are not resting players for the FA Cup these days ?

"Brentford rest 7 players and Leicester rest 9 players"

Brentford play Nottingham Forest next Tuesday, in what could be a vital promotion clash, and Leicester have a Semi Final second leg match, also on Tuesday, at Aston Villa to decide who goes on to play in the Wembley final.

Burnley next play a week on Sunday.

A little context would be nice. :)

Context to what ?
The likelihood is that virtually every other team will be resting lots of players and don’t have important games mid week.

Leicester have still got a pretty strong side out. Some of our fans think we should play a team of kids, which I find pretty bizarre?

Which fans are these then ?
Don’t know of one fan or post on this board that has ever said we should play a team of kids.
The facts are that we usually rotate a few players but tend to play a team full of players who have played regularly for the first team. This is pretty much what most teams do and don’t think we rest more players than average compared to the other teams. If anything we rest less players and we have rarely played any of the u23s / kids when a few teams do.

Just the 4 changes for Southampton and only 3 for Spurs.

Mourinho wants a trophy and rightly so.

We made 5 changes - Norwich made a lot more. They rested their 3 best players.
Reading 11 changes v Cardiff 7 changes
