Well that's put a dampener on my birthday that's for sure, can't say we deserved anything after such a woeful display though.
Re: Fa Cup MIGHTY CLARETS versus Yellow Bellies
Really disappointing, but of course not unexpected. I long to see us show some interest in a cup competition. Hopefully our recent league form won't nosedive.

It's time to give season ticket holders free access for cup games imo opinion. That way it's a little more acceptable and palatable when the inevitable happens

I was watching a bit of the live comms cam pre kick off and they commented that it was a disappointing crowd
Seems most people realised it was going to be utter dogshit as usual in the cup

Vydra again showing why he doesn’t get near the pitch in the Premier League.

I'm not sure we even had one attempt at goal after the equalizer.
Really poor response and not to mention they could have had six with the chances they wasted.

Well played Norwich, no complaints from me, better side won. Very impressed by how they played. If they had taken their chances they could have won that game far more comfortably than they did.

How crap are Brady & Long. Time to get rid of these 2 jokers!

I seriously don’t think I’ll ever buy a ticket for a Cup Tie again, whilst Sean Dyche is Manager of Burnley. It’s an utter waste of money.

That was posted last Saturday, another game and another 2 goals conceeded.Long Time Lurker wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2020 3:05 pm
Charlie Taylor would be my pick, because our defence has looked a lot more solid since he came back in. Granted, Pieters played against some of the big heavy hitters which made his job more difficult in a couple of matches. However, in the last few games we have invited more pressure on our back four because of our tactics and dimished presence higher up the pitch, which probably balances out things.
Taylor - 07 full games and 03 half games = 08 goals against our defence
Pieters - 12 full games and 03 half games = 29 goals against our defence
I wouldn't call Taylor a hugely influential player. We play more as a team and everyone has the capacity to stand out for us from game to game. However, this years goals against ratio is a lot better with Taylor in the team ( even though it is really shocking overall ).
Fingers crossed we don't play Pieters again unless we positively, absolutely don't have any other option. Our defence looked rock solid over the last two games and in the games before it stood up to heavy pressure before cracking.
The positioning of Pieters is awful and it impacts on the performance of everyone else. They have to stop doing their own jobs in order to make up for the fact that he isn't were he should be, causing our formation to break apart. The resulting uncertainty, do I do my job or do I move to do his job, ends up with everyone at sixes and sevens.
Long is a solid defender as we have all seen on many occasions, but today he was all over the place.
It doesn't matter if Pieters scores one goal if he costs us two - and it could have been a lot more. We need to add a left back to our Summer shopping list, because we can't afford to conceed goals at the rate we do when he is playing. It was the same at Stoke, which is probably why they stopped playing him and loaned him out.
I can't believe our analysts didn't pick up on that when they looked over all his previous playing performances, or maybe they just glanced over the stats he posted last year during his games against the weaker teams in Ligue 1.

He did his bit when we needed it.
