Their second goal
Why were both centre backs virtually sat in the Bob Lord?

Re: Their second goal
We looked disinterested for most of the afternoon even after we pulled one back. Wembley will have to wait another year!

Re: Their second goal
Just seen it on MOTD highlights, what on earth is Hart doing,if he's not going to catch the ball.then get a solid punch on it and either push it over the bar,or push it away from the goal, don't present the striker with a tap-in,the defending was poor all afternoon, the opening seconds set the tone, and we never looked secure from there.

Re: Their second goal
Tarks often gets pulled out to RB, worries me when he is not in the middle.
Ironically Ben Mee doesn’t get dragged out to LB as often and yet Charlie does far more attacking than our RB.
Wherever they were Pieters positioning was atrocious. One check around him and he would have come out to our backline.

Re: Their second goal
Yes, Pieters was out of place but have a look at where Brady was,- yards off his own man and yet undecided about going back to help Erik.

That's not surprising though. He spent the entire 2nd half hiding

Re: Their second goal
Surely bardy was expecting pieters to push up and that sorts everything out.
Pieters was ball watching and must have forgotten to defend.
Hart must of expected offside too so wasnt sharp.
Pieters bolloxed it.
We were all over the place every time they got around our box.

Re: Their second goal
Pieters is only where he is because both centre backs are missing.
When the ball is dinked over by Norwich, Pieters is on the penalty spot, Lowton is outside the area in the D and Tarky and Long are in the right back position.

If he was inline with the rest, then they would have been offside.Bin Ont Turf wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 11:21 amPieters is only where he is because both centre backs are missing.
