Fans are brainwashed
Sam Allardyche on the radio this morning. Saying fans are completely brainwashed by the media and the like constantly going on about how important the style is over results. And says it’s absolutely ludicrous. And that results have to come first.
Some will say he would say that but it’s completely right. He’s had results and been successful everywhere he has been relatively speaking. With his promotion record and record of keeping unfancied clubs up.
Definitely has a great point imo.

Re: Fans are brainwashed
One of the modern highlights in football is watching average teams trying to play like Barcelona at the back and concede while doing so. Of course he is right.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 8:43 amSam Allardyche on the radio this morning. I’m amazed we don’t allow teams to play from the back more. Unless you have the back line of Liverpool or City there is a huge chance they will mess it up.
Instead we seem to mark up to stop them from attempting it.

Re: Fans are brainwashed
Playing out from the back is robbing the fans, sick of watching 4 multi million pound footballers pass it along the back to each other for about 40 minutes of every match
......hoof the fuccker!...Allardyce is the future.

Re: Fans are brainwashed
I think we mark up to stop them doing it because most other teams can out pass us. When they launch it there’s a good chance we’ll win the first ball.
Re: Fans are brainwashed
Team that pass out from the back, invariably mess up.
Re: Fans are brainwashed
I'm amazed anyone gives that fat greasy crook a platform these days.
An alternative might be that fans are brainwashed to think the PL is the golden thread of football.

Re: Fans are brainwashed
IMO there's also a very inflated media hype around transfers, the constant need to be buying and and the huge sums involved.
606 and all you hear is, "we need to strengthen the squad" or "add more quality" or something similar. It's only If you are team performing like Liverpool do you ever hear fans satisfied with their squad.
