this pandering is nonsense - I am truly disappointed by the club for this - if we do not do it for St Patricks (years of history of players and fans) or St David's (Anglesey kids) day why for China

Too true. Another top I’d love for running in, but not with that sponsor all over it.

Re: Chinese New Year training top
Another great top, spoilt though with the crap on the front.
To be fair, there's been some great tops last couple of seasons, but I'm upto about 12 years now last time I bought any Burnley top of any kind.
It used to be because they were crap, now it's because they're full of crap all over them.
Why they need it on training tops I do not know

Havent worn a Burnley shirt for 17 years, I bought one to take South Africa on holiday a few years ago but gave it to a local who was asking about football in the UK, he now supports Burnley and sends the mrs pics on Facebook of him watching the games in his shirt.
I’ve a training top that I wear for 5aside though, decent enough quality

Miss the days when we had local businesses on our shirt. Can't help but feel we've sold our soul a bit.

To all those grumbling about our sponsor. They can always stump up millions for an alternative.
Or could always see if Oddies or Cockers fancy it?

He is so trying to bang her. Before you know it he will be "over on business". Then she'll be asking if they can have dinner together. It's over mate. Re: Chinese New Year training top
They spoil every top these days with huge sponsors logos, and I’m convinced they’d sell far more without them.
I was in the club shop a week or two ago and they have some decent stuff, but I couldn’t imagine wearing much of it with large irons on logos, so bought nothing. I’ve even considered whether I’d pay a slight premium (above the already premium cost) to have it without said logo.

Even if we sold everyone in the town a shirt that would still only equate to 3m or so and that's not profit!Claretforever wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 8:17 amThey spoil every top these days with huge sponsors logos, and I’m convinced they’d sell far more without them.

I'd like to see the figures on Burnley shirts bought outside of the UK, or subscriptions to Clarets player...
As for the shirts, I only buy the retro ones, I couldn't wear something with a sponsor like that on the front.

Re: Chinese New Year training top
I know that. BFC sells around 35,000 shirts per season, which is close to half that figure turnover wise. I’d imagine the margins are pretty high. I know it comes down to economics, I just wish there was an option to purchase without the sponsor’s logo, especially the products which don’t form part of the strip.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 8:30 amEven if we sold everyone in the town a shirt that would still only equate to 3m or so and that's not profit!

The club make it as hard as possible to buy from outside the UK.firstly, the only stockists of the shirt are the Club shop.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 10:11 amI'd like to see the figures on Burnley shirts bought outside of the UK
My mate lives in Dubai, he wanted one a couple of years back, there was no facility through the online shop to opt for international postage.
He had 2 options, fly over and buy one in the shop in person, or ask me to get him one and post it out to him.
He went for the easy option......... flew over and bought one in person.
Don't know if the postage inflexibility is still in place, but a bit of a ball ache at the time.

Re: Chinese New Year training top
They charge £15 for international postage so if you are only buying a shirt is a lot compared to the initial costBarry_Chuckle wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 2:52 pmThe club make it as hard as possible to buy from outside the UK.firstly, the only stockists of the shirt are the Club shop.
