Newcastle tickets
Newcastle tickets
On sale this weekend, looks like no mention of our allocation. Are we to deduce from that we haven't taken the full 3 thousand?

Re: Newcastle tickets
If we haven’t taken the full allocation it’s another stupid decision by the club. First Saturday game in a few years up there and I know a lot of people who are going to this one. Know a few who are making weekends of it.
Re: Newcastle tickets
I'm sure the fact that we only took about 2 thousand to Old Trafford last week influenced the clubs thinking. I suppose it's all guesswork, for anyone wanting to go I'd get tickets bought soon as possible.

Re: Newcastle tickets
How can you compare a midweek game with a 20:15 kick off against a side most of us thought was going to beat us, not to mention we were playing poorly back then, against a Saturday 15:00 kick off against a relegation rival with our form now being improved? They are not remotely similar and demand therefore is not the same! That reasoning is madness.

Re: Newcastle tickets
Didn’t we start announcing allocations earlier in the season?
Re: Newcastle tickets
It's the clubs logic, not mine. There's no denying a lot of our away followings this season have been poor though.thelaughingclaret wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 5:29 pmHow can you compare a midweek game with a 20:15 kick off against a side most of us thought was going to beat us, not to mention we were playing poorly back then, against a Saturday 15:00 kick off against a relegation rival with our form now being improved? Did we? The allocation was 3000 and there weren’t many empty seats.

According to the programme on Saturday we took just over 2 thousand. On the TV highlights it looked like the odd section in the away corner had been covered up?Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 5:40 pmDid we? The allocation was 3000 and there weren’t many empty seats.

Can’t remember seeing any seats covered up but we were right at the other end from the empty seats.

Re: Newcastle tickets
1700 for Southampton so everyone who moans on this thread about a potential small allocation at Newcastle can at least get a ticket for that game.

??????????? We'd beaten Leicester just 10 days ago prior to the game at Old Trafford but only 4 days ago lost at home to Norwich!!

I think this one will be quite popular being 3pm on a Saturday.
Last few have been midweek and wasn’t the one before on New Year’s Day?

8 of us booked hotels when the fixtures came out and are going up for the weekend, I don’t think many of them would lose any sleep if they didn’t get tickets to be honest, but I’ll be going on

Re: Newcastle tickets
You can't really blame the club if they have taken the smaller allocation.
They could have tried to gauge interest by doing what they did with Everton away but then look at the sheer nonsense spouted then about selling tickets too far in advance. Don't think any fans can expect clubs to have a ticket policy to suit cherry pickers.

Completely agree. Cant expect the club to continue to take the maximum allocation if people cant be bothered making the effort at other 'less glamorous' games.claretonthecoast1882 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2020 7:48 amYou can't really blame the club if they have taken the smaller allocation.

Then we get the re-set peoples loyalty points as I haven't enough points for the popular away games.Granny WeatherWax wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2020 7:56 amCompletely agree. Re: Newcastle tickets
I think the fairest way next season would be to look at the lowest amount we sold in the league games this season and only request that number for every game next season.
That will teach all those part timers won’t it.

Re: Newcastle tickets
Best way. Just the hardcore.
Get rid of the cherry pickers. Can’t have people deciding they want to go to games that could be more convenient or attractive if they are not going to the less convenient ones.

Re: Newcastle tickets
These threads do always make me chuckle as it seems you are only allowed to go to so called big away games if you go to all the other away games.
Unfortunately some people can't afford to go to all the games and so will obviously pick and choose the ones they go to and more often than not these will be for the so called glamour games!!
Also some people have got other things in their lives that they have to do and getting to a football game every weekend isn't always feasible
Still keep up with the posts as they do still provide me with a giggle to get through the day
Up the clarets!!

Just bought our online and are number 1127/1128. Lets hope the club have taken the full allocation as could be a big following.
