Re: Superleague
Wolves down to 12 men, Hill sent off for horrendous tackle round the head and neck of Powell.
With a tackle like that he should be called Kill.
Video ref awarded a try and Hardaker converted.
12-8 to The Warriors.

Re: Superleague
They were all certainly well up for that game!Great game to watch and Warrington kept going right to the end but a good result in the end for the Warriors.
I hope that the rest of the season gives us more games like that.

Re: Superleague
Very enjoyable game with the right outcome, although I thought Wigan should have won by more. All credit to Warrington though for sticking at it after Hills sending off and the guy yellow carded for tripping ..

I noticed in the second half that the commentators said that Powell had failed the concussion protocol and wouldn't be coming back on. Well, duh. If a man lies on the field for 5 minutes not moving a muscle, flat out cold, then you don't need to be a doctor to spot that he's a tiny bit concussed.

Re: Superleague
Yes, he did suffer a proper injury, however, I can't wait for this happening in football when every player who goes down holding his head, in spite of being slightly touched on his chest or other part of his body, has to go off and be assessed for 10 minutes before he may return. Bring it on!dsr wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 12:29 amI noticed in the second half that the commentators said that Powell had failed the concussion protocol and wouldn't be coming back on. Well, duh. Re: Superleague
The Warriors came a cropper at the Jungle ---always a difficult place to go. So after just two games, Hull and Castleford are joint leaders and only they and Huddersfield, who have played one game, are unbeaten at this stage.
The Hull Derby proved to be another excellent game to watch and the result could have been reversed if Ellis had scored with his penalty instead of hitting the post. Cracking game once again.

Re: Superleague
Agreed Ashington and Conyo, the season is off to a cracking start, 3 excellent televised matches so far and it is difficult to pick the best team. Hull derby was real rugby played to a 20,000 attendance and 3 Rochdale Mayfield players made the Saints - Wires teams. Long may it continue

Warriors at home tonight against newly promoted Toronto Wolfpack @ 1945.
Should be OK, but you never know.
Can't make it tonight, unfortunately. Probably stream it if I can.

I shall be watching what has become my second favourite sport, after cricket! My love of football has waned after 68 years and it has now dropped into third place for me.Funkydrummer wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2020 4:55 pmWarriors at home tonight against newly promoted Toronto Wolfpack @ 1945.

First score to the Wolfpack. But can’t see it lasting.
These low attendances for Wigan must be a bit of a worry.

Wigan eventually grinding down a dogged, persevering Toronto but class will tell.
Ashington - I bet you will watch your 3rd favourite sport at SJP 29 Feb providing you can get a ticket. I am in with the magpies this year.

A Thursday night midwinter, game on Sky,no wonder the crowds are not coming.. Decent game so far ,Toronto are no pushovers and have played some decent rugby at times.. I expect Wigan to take control in the second half..

Re: Superleague
A good game with some fast rugby from both sides,Wigan pulling away in the last quarter..Thought it should have been a penalty try when O Loughlin went down with a finger in the eye instead of carrying on and putting the ball down over the line before collapsing.Softee..

Re: Superleague
Clegg --I certainly will and I am also in with the Magpies because I am on their database and go to a number of games and sit in the north east corner at a very nice level! After the match I am off with the missus to go to The Sage where Mike Lovatt, a smashing trumpet player, is performing with the Strictly Smokin Big Band ---a point, or better, at SJP followed by a good night's musicwill do fine for me.
I have a spare ticket in the area where I sit but is for a Senior because my friend is having an op next week and will not be able to go. Mind you it is more expensive than sitting in the away end! I may even persuade the missus to go but I think that one of my friends will take it up!
Enjoyed the rugby once again and Wigan were made to fight hard for the win. I though that Maloudi was unlucky to have to go to the sin bin --total accident.

Castleford looked good against Hull KR last night. After a shaky first half their power and class told. Richardson had an excellent game, his decision to leave St Helens looks a good one.

Been some cracking games so far..Tonights Rhinos v Wolves game will be a big test for the Rhinos and will give us a clue whether they are a better team than last season.. Can't fathom the Wire out,one minute they are brilliant and the next pretty average..
