Happy brexit folks
Happy brexit folks
One less level of authority
The EU couldn't overrule the electorate on this occasion.
Apologies to people who are genuinely afraid of the future (except the EU non job dwellers, and the idiots who studied for a silly EU Degree in linguistics etc) and credit to all of the people who wouldn't roll over in the face of all the nonsense.
I'll raise a glass to all of you tonight

Re: Happy brexit folks
I find it bizarre that people are getting so excited by it. Treating it like a personal achievement or victory. It's totally nuts.
I'm sure it'll be fine in the end, but what a strange few years it's been.

Not sure (ringo apart) that anyone is taking it personally from a brexiteers point of view.
It's more a collective group of people, glad to have had their democratic vote upheld.
It's quite possible to be happy about something without being victorious.
Or being upset about something that you didn't personally lose, as the case may be

Re: Happy brexit folks
Normally I would agree with you but, thanks to the efforts of Miller, Blair, Swindon, Corbyn et al, it is a victory over the dark forces of anti-democracy. However, I hope that, once the honeymoon period is over, we all pull together to make a success if it.Damo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 11:30 pmNot sure (ringo apart) that anyone is taking it personally from a brexiteers point of view.
