Can’t mark from TV (Personally don’t see why)
However thought he did well and tried to keep game moving
No massive decisions to make

Good. Should have booked Jay at the end. Bought too many soft dives from them but overall did pretty well.

Got two big decisions wrong. Gave GK to them when we should have had a corner and gave them a corner when we should have had a GK. Both were easy decisions and either could have cost us the game !

Why did Luiz not receive a yellow card for diving ?
Why did Kavanagh not award free-kick for a blatant shirt pull on McNeill in the second half ?
Why did Kavanagh allow play acting by the Arsenal cheats to go unpunished ?
Why, why, why ?

Decent performance. Wasn’t happy to see Luiz’s awful dive go unpunished though.

Looks like I’m going against the majority here but thought he was poor. Seemed to get loads wrong, all of them in Arsenal’s favour. Also seemed to giving these decisions from too far away.

Another ref protecting one of the "big" teams, fell for all their little annoying tactics. Glad he didnt have a big desicion to make.

Allowed the ARSEnal whiners to boss him rather than the other way round.
Very weak.

Did not fall for some of the Arsenal play-acting and refereed it exactly as he saw it, including, having a quiet word with several players who committed fouls but he played advantage, he let them know that it had not gone unnoticed but did not make a fuss of things. He helped the flow of the game.

Time we had a referee who books constant moaning at every decision as dissent. He did it once today but there should have been others. He also missed a dangerous high kick in the face of one of our players and another dangerous tackle was just waved on. Then he had the cheek to wave his hand to play on having totally missed the foul that came before it as did the Lino with the ponytail and both for the time when . Cork was not pleased by the blatant foul on him, which prevented him from getting forward to join the attack. Otherwise he was relatively reasonable.

Personally I thought he was weak, at times allowed Xhaka to referee him.

Ozil should have been booked before his petulant display of dissent for chopping down McNeil, if that would have been Lowton on Aubameyang then it would be have a certain yellow.

Got to say he wasnt helped by the unbelievably weak linesman on the Bob Lord Stand of the ground, who consistently got decisions wrong and allowed Arsenal to do as they pleased.

Decision-making reasonably good but another ref and set of officials terrified of applying the letter of the law to players of the big clubs.
Feigning injury, dissent, grappling and grabbing in the box for corners - the list goes on. Loved it when their lad screwed up down their left and then reckoned to be hurt. Not as spectacular as the Beast all those years ago but bloody funny.

It seems some of our fans don't agree with SD and the play acting of a few of the Arsenal players.

I would imagine that every single Burnley fan agrees with Dyche about this.

Dont think so nil, some high marks here suggest that the ref clamped down on their play acting, which he didn't.

I beg to differ. I think that on the whole he handled it reasonably well. It's really difficult for a referee when a team are constantly falling on the floor and claiming to be injured, and i'm not sure which of the marking categories should be used to mark him down if you're going to do so.
He got most of the decisions correct, his fitness and positioning seemed good, he seemed consistent to me, (thought that's a slightly ambiguous category) and generally kept the game moving despite Arsenal trying to slow it down.

Ok nil we beg to differ and I respect your opinion, but for me he fell for their tactics of winning free kicks for very minimal contact, which SD seems to be referring to in his interview.

McNeil has his shirt dragged off his back whilst being wrestled to the floor, the most obvious free kick all game which was waved away and Arsenal subsequently broke on us.
That wasn't the only case of poor officiating today
