49ers v Chiefs Super Bowl

Post by THEWELLERNUT70 » Sun Feb 02, 2020 11:48 pm

Anyone else watching?

I've gone for a Chiefs win by a 13 - 18 margin at 8s

Although the 49ers have started sprightly

no, mindlessly dull american pap sport. the british tv companies will never tire of trying to sell this horror show to an apathetic public for some reason.

I love it. Chiefs need to get going early because they can't come back against the 49ers like they did in the play offs. But I always have the same issue every year. How long do I stay up watching, work in the morning etc.

Mahomes has got a rapid arm. Some of the power he gets with no backlift is amazing. Bit like how Aguero can generate powerful shots out of nowhere.

Well it sells out Wembley every time it comes over... England playing at home doesn't though ...

I personally think the Chiefs are going to blow the 49ers out in the 3rd

It's not just Mahomes rocket arm that's the threat, he is also a tremendous ball carrier too

I'm on it. my first bowl was as a young chap indeed - watching the Bears beat the Patriots 46-10 from memory.
Had quite a long period without much access, not having sky and stuff - but really got back into it the last 5 or 6 years.

Been a great season - I hope Chiefs win, as Mahomes reminds me of John Elway, who was my favourite back in the day - Mahomes will probably go on to be even better, an extraordinary talent.

usually work early monday mornings but somehow got the day off tomorrow so watching for the first time in years. Always loved watching it as a teenager and being able to stay up.

Fascinating game so far and loving it. Let's hope the intensity and battle stays right till the end.

1st one for me was the Raiders win in 81 under the QB skills of Jim Plunkett

I think the Raiders of 81 are the last wild card team to win the Super Bowl

No, they were the first wildcard team to win the Super Bowl once the playoff format expanded. Several teams have won as wildcards, I think the Packers were the last?
