Liverpool's games until April
Liverpool's games until April
They play Norwich,West Ham, Watford, Bournemouth, Everton, Palace and then in April have City Villa and Brighton before us.
No easy games but on paper the only difficult ones should be Everton away and City away. Need to win six games maximum to win the league.Done and dusted by mid-March?

I’m no fan of Liverpool FC, and I’ve never bought into Klopp’s PR campaign, but what they are doing this season is nothing short of incredible.

Re: Liverpool's games until April
I reckon 4 wins tops will do it. City go to Leicester, United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal home. Tough games and you just know Areta will get a win on his return.
Get past A Madrid and the league can be done by the CL quarters. Madness.

Re: Liverpool's games until April
They'll have won it comfortably by the time we go there end of April.

PR campaign? Give over. He’s the most genuine manager there is. He’s german and loves football. He’s like most german football fans. Given their results over the past / years he has rarely lost his rag. He loves it and loves his players. After the game you can see it and when asked about a certain player or world class goal he doesn’t come out with the cliched “He’s capable of that”, he just generally excited and gobsmacked.Lord Beamish wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 10:30 amI’m no fan of Liverpool FC, and I’ve never bought into Klopp’s PR campaign, but what they are doing this season is nothing short of incredible.

Is it not that all their competition is shite that they are doing so well the top six sides below Liverpool are crap,a bit like when Leicester scabbed the title...i hate Liverpool and their fans can you tellLord Beamish wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 10:30 amI’m no fan of Liverpool FC, and I’ve never bought into Klopp’s PR campaign, but what they are doing this season is nothing short of incredible.

What about all the rubbish he came out with when Ben Mee tackled Joe Gomez?Dyched wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 10:39 amPR campaign? Give over. He’s the most genuine manager there is. Did you buy into his appraisal that Ben Mee's tackle was dangerous and shouldn't be allowed when there was actually nothing wrong with it?

Re: Liverpool's games until April
I have always liked Liverpool (contrary to opinion on here it seems) and I don't think I ever met a scouser I didn't like. I am delighted they are doing what they are doing because it has been far too long since they were last champions. Liverpool are, and always have been, a credit to football in this country in my opinion and unlike most 'big six' supporters they actually (mostly) appreciate other teams when they play well. Just wondered with all this 'scouse hating' who others on here would want to win the league, realistically? United? City? A London club?
As for Klopp he is the most honest and decent manager I think there could be, and he has a sense of humour. He keeps, generally, his players grounded and only rarely moans. Can't wait to see that grin of his when they secure the title. Other than us ( ) or Sheff Utd I can't think of anyone who I would want to win it more.
They also steered me safely through the last round of Last Man Standing at work this weekend. What's not to like?

Re: Liverpool's games until April
Nope - but every manager has said stupid things...including ours. He was clearly just fed up that Gomez had been injured and wanted someone to blame. I think he was wrong to say what he did about Mee but I also think there was absolutely no need for Mee to go to ground and make that challenge...and it was right in front of where I sit so I had a great view.
Compared to Mourinho, Pep and most of the other managers I think Klopp has been a breath of fresh air for the league.
His team and style of football has been brilliant and whilst he has spent some serious money he has also brought young players through, bought some absolute bargains (Robertson, Mane, Firmino, Salah etc), revitalised the careers of people like Milner, Henderson, sold players at a huge profit (Coutinho, Solanke, Ings etc) and spent his serious money on the positions he thought would win the league - VDV and the keeper.
They have a great set of young players too - he is basically doing everything Sir Alex did when they were at their peak. I know it’s early days compared to United but he’s not done it like Pep did or like United have failed to do in last 4 or 5 years.
Liverpool could dominate for years if they can keep Klopp and their big players - Pep will either demand another £400m to spend on rebuilding his defence and replacing Aguero...or he’ll decide he has had enough and say he needs a sabbatical before becoming the manager of Juventus 6 weeks after quitting City !

What this Liverpool team are achieving is absolutely fantastic and they should be lauded for years to come... trouble is it will be for years to come and those scally scousers wont let us forget it. What they are doing wont be done again I'm sure, and heaven forbid they win every game from now till the end of the season...
You have to admire them though, as much as it pains me, would be nice for us to spoil the party at Anfield though and I'm tempted to go this season too

For me Klopp drips insincerity but there’s no denying their long ball game is currently superior to ours

Yes Liverpool will win the league at a canter and fully deserved. However the've had more than their fair share of VAR decisions along the way. The latest being on Saturday. How Southampton weren't awarded a penalty for Fabinho's trip on Ings I'll never know. Anyhow less of Liverpool and lets hope that City can do the business against WHU this week-end.

Klopp is a phenomenal manager and has built a phenomenal team. If anyone genuinely thinks differently then I've no idea why you would watch football
