February 29th
Just noticed that our game away to Newcastle is on the 29th of February. When was the last time we played on this date?

Re: February 29th
That's a toughie. Every 4 years for that date and it would likely to have had to fall on a Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday or Wednesday. So a date that only happens every 4 years with only really 4 days of the week that it could happen on. Could even be 'has it ever happened'? One for the statos.

I think 1992 was the last Saturday 29th Feb
Beat Cardiff 2-0 and their place

No keep the thread going. The brexit one lasted well over 400 pages and was no more interesting.

Re: February 29th
I must admit stuff like this fascinates me but I haven't got the time of inclination to check it out. I'm guessing that would be it if we did play on that day. Although has it landed on a Sunday, Tuesday or Wednesday since then? For once Google has been no help at all.
Re: February 29th
Find out, cannot be arsed!!!!!
Up to 1992,
lost 4-0 to Arsenal away 1904
1908 beat Grimsby 1-0 away
1936 beat WHU 1-0 at home
1964 lost 302 to WHU FA Cup 6th round
Can you tell I am retired and have no wheels today?

Re: February 29th
Just checked league games and a win (1-0) over Grimsby away in 1908 and a defeat away at Arsenal (4-0) in 1904 where I believe we felt the grass was too long and too dry.

Re: February 29th
Here's an explanation. Good luck with it.
February 29th falls on a Saturday Once every 28 Years except when a Year evenly divisible by 100 is not a leap year like 2100. A default leap year is always a leap year starting on a Wednesday. Default leap years from 21st to 24th century are 2020, 2048, 2076, 2116, 2144, 2172, 2212, 2240, 2268, 2296, 2308, 2336, 2364 and 2392. Leap years starting on a Wednesday are always the best years and the most Superior years ever. Around 39% of milestone numbers are leap years starting on a Wednesday. The only Years evenly divisible by 100 in the A.D years that were leap years starting on Wednesday we’re 100 A.D, 800 A.D and 1500 A.D. The year 1500 was a leap year starting on Wednesday, not a normal year starting on Monday.

Re: February 29th
Did we have leap years before the Gregorian calendar?
