They are all obviously tough games but you’d expect them to normally pock up a 1 or 3 in at least one of those. Maybe 4 points out of the lot. Teams rarely lose 7 on the bounce when you expect them too. But the way those teams are playing they might just do that. City away and Chelsea at home are arguably the best chance to do pick up points.

Agreed Bosscat. The point being madexwas it is the same for every team and you can never predict outcomes.
Our last 3,cafter the defeats...Leicester, Manchester United and Arsenal. Prediction by pundits, null point. Outcome after heroes rise to the occasions, 7 points....should have been 9.

Almost sad to say but we need him.
We badly miss McGinn & his dynamism. A physical CM/DM would’ve helped us but the window is over now and we seemed restricted in what we could do (bloody FFP!).
We’re too lightweight in the middle, I do admire Nakamba’s battling qualities but he can’t do it alone. Sooner we can get [this player] fit and in form, the better.
Luiz & Nakamba need a stable, calming influence around them. Who else do we have?

Much prefer our remaining fixtures especially the last two. Some tricky games to come but the two easiest away to City and Liverpool should see us safe

Noticeable difference between our fixtures and Villa is that we have to play Watford, Bournemouth and Brighton all at home whereas Villa have played these three twice already. Think they have played Norwich twice too.

WHU will do well to get 5/6 points from those 7 games which would put them on 29/30 points from 32 games. Then needing (say) 8/9 points from the remaining 6.
They do have a decent run-in to even things out: Watford, Villa at home (and us); Norwich, Newcastle (and Man U) away.
Those Norwich, Villa Watford games will test their mettle. See how their fans bear up- they have been known to get a bit bolshy when thing are going wrong.

If we go down from this position we will have had to have gone on a shocking run for the rest of the season and we will deserve to go down. Current form suggests we will have no issues and even if we embark on a run like we did previous to this current form it rarely lasts for more than 4 or 5 games. 3 wins required minimum. We only have 3 games left against the big 6..2 of those (City away and Liverpool away) you can write off..serious bonus if we get anything and Tottenham at home..winnable. Stop worrying peeps.

We aren't going down. We only need 2 wins and a draw from 13 games. That means we could lose 10!
We're now picking up form, playing well, and it's actually the other end of the table we should be looking at really. 4 points off 7th!

Arsenal and Man utd could lose to any of those teams, Chelsea and Spurs aren't dead carts to beat them all either, so discounting those games distorts those figures a bit.

West Ham often manage to get results you wouldn’t expect. While I doubt they will beat Liverpool I would never write them off against city or Chelsea. While Chelsea are probably exceeding expectations Both are very inconsistent. And I doubt city even care about the league now.

Looking at those fixture Norwich, West Ham and Watford have 3 games against fellow strugglers. They can't all win them all, yet to get to the safety mark one of them is going to have to.
You could see a scenario where one of them gets out of it, but not a cat in hells chance that they all will.

Our last 3 games are a pretty good reason not to predict results from fixture lists. Imagine, given our form before the Leicester game, how many rival fans had us in the bottom 3 by now!

So it is not impossible for West Ham to do the same or any of the other teams in trouble to do the same.
Not likely one hopes but some of their games are against each other but teams fighting for survival
do sometimes pull out unlikely results as we have over the last three.
I'm just happy we're 7 points clear.
And I do believe we're capable of getting 2 or 3 more wins and a few draws from our remaining
fixtures which should put us on 40 or more points and be enough to keep us ahead of the bottom three.

The difference between us West Ham and Watford is bottle. You need it in bucket loads at the back end of the season, and they look short.

True. And City and Liverpool will give up on the Prem as we enter the latter rounds of Europe now Liverpool have won it. Will throw up some unexpected results.
