MIA
It would appear that the resident snowflake has crawled back into his shell and is in hibernation. Where is the Turtle? Donald Trump has been acquitted and naughty Nancy has thrown her toys out the pram in front of the whole world.
Oh well 4 more years of Donald might be enough to tempt the turtle out of hiding at some point.

Acquitted following a 52 - 48 result, that won't be an issue for anyone on the losing side

The whole process is partisan from both sides. The Democrats did light the touch paper and it’s blown up in their faces.Burnley Ace wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 3:13 pmDonald Trump acquired by a partisan “jury” that refused to her all the evidence isn’t something anyone can be proud of.

Assume you mean acquitted If so then that’s a big part of the reason why it was a total waste of time and money by the Dems. I agree, did they really think that the Republicans would uphold the oath they swore rather than vote on party lines? Did they really think that they would vote to allow new damming evidence to be heard?
The only point they have I their favour is that they couldn’t just ignore his behaviour and now that the evidence is out there people can make their own mind up. The fact that no one cares about his behaviour is another matter.

Re: MIA
people do care about his behavior, probably the majority, however they don't care enough to make a meaningful change as long as they and there family are not hurt by his behavior. People do not get elected through the morals they try to impose on others, politics is a tricky game to play and there is a fine line to being tolerated and being replaced within democratic countries. Cleary not enough thought he had crossed that line, all history now.Burnley Ace wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 3:42 pmI agree, did they really think that the Republicans would uphold the oath they swore rather than vote on party lines? I have my suspicions as to who is IT, but if he has really gone then not to worry quite a few have been vying to take on his mantle.

The Democrats hold Trump supporters beneath contempt, as you do yourself. And if they are so contemptuous of them, they aren't going to win back their votes.

Antidote to this is that the Democratic Party are lining up candidates who will have 50% of the population (women) voting for them on principal. 2 strong women and a cuddly old grandpa.dsr wrote: ↑Fri Feb 07, 2020 1:21 amYes, you've nailed it. You don't think women can think for themselves like men? They just automatically vote for the woman? If the people on here rejoicing in everything that is Donald Trump are really serious about their support for him it is a very sad state of affairs. I can't see how anyone with a brain cell can really believe him having any kind of responsibility is a good thing. It is sad that selfishness and hate are so prevalent.

It's all very well sayng people oughn't to vote for men like Trump; but if the alternative is a person like grapidian, you're stuck between a rock and a hard place, aren't you? It's a "least worst" choice.

Charlie. You have more experience of living in US than I have. So would be genuinely interested to hear how life here was so much better prior to Trump becoming President. We came here full time just about as Obama became President. This is a genuine question to someone with experience. I can give my views between the Obama and Trump eras but not prior to that. Re: MIA
F.C. , Last year I received a ridiculous tax return. But it wasn't needed or deserved,I don't think a tax cut was needed for middle, upper middle and definitely not upper class Americans. Its not about me or you.Its the future of our kids and hopefully grand kids. Trump is reversing as many environmentally sound regulations as he can, he has pulled out of the Paris agreement, he is trying to get rid of the ACA without any replacement plan.
We as a family pay $1800 per month premium for our health care, before any out of pocket costs, but I can be on the same policy as my wife and kids because, I have pre existing conditions, next year it will most likely exceed $2000 per month, if the pre existing condition rule is not erased by Trump, something he is actively trying to do,despite repeatedly lying to the contrary.
the deficit is ballooning out of control, far more under Trump than under Obama, and Obama had to spend our way out of the recession, Trump gave us a tax return that our kids will have to pay for.
It not about you, or me and our bank balances or standard of living, its the future for our kids that many democrats are so ****** off about.
So again, gloating, and make no mistake, this entire thread is all gloat,it was created to gloat, there is nothing to gloat about, because when you take personal finance out of the equation for most middle and upper class Americans, there is nothing good about Trump and his administration.
