I currently have a dry cough, a tight chest and I can barely summon enough puff to blow out a match ( well that is a bit of an exaggeration, but my breathing definitely feels very restricted ). What I have feels like a normal cold, without the stuffy nose and streaming snot. However, my symptoms are a very long way from those associated with something like a Zombie Apocalypse.
It could be nothing, but I am being overly cautious and self isolating - more for the benefit of others than myself.
Obviously the rapid spread of the virus is a concern along with the fatal impact that it can have on people who aren't at full strength or more susceptible to it. Anything that can take the life of even one person has to be taken seriously.
My biggest worry from all this is how poorly prepared every country was for it. When you take into account the potential threat of things like viral terrorism ( and our supposed readiness to handle such things ) the government's lackadaisical response to this outbreak is very worrying.
However, the share price in companies that are producing marigolds, cheap disposable plastic overalls and porta-cabins could rise substantially when the markets re-open. Things looked a lot different in the Hollywood movies like Outbreak, Dustin Hoffman had a proper HAZMAT suit in that one.
Today I have mostly been playing
https://store.steampowered.com/app/6224 ... oard_Game/ which is the single person ( local co op ) version of Pandemic the tabletop game.
Playthrough of the board game can be seen at

The best thing everyone can do is keep calm, be cautious and try to carry on as best as normal. A little gallows humour doesn't hurt either
Edit: For those that look for the best in any given situation - unfortunately my ability to type seems to be unaffected.
