He’ll never make it as a pro - far too many times there was contact and he stayed on his feet

Brilliant ball control! Hopefully his ego isn't over hyped by his parents/club. I've seen plenty of youngsters score 40 or 50 a season and tell everyone they're going to play for United etc, then get a trial at a big club and nothing comes of it.
It's a thin line between becoming the next David Silva or the next wonder-kid that never was.

This lad is at Toronto now along with his younger brother who is a goalie in a younger team too.
Surprisingly he ended up as a defender for Toronto when it seemed like he’d be a great midfielder (shows how teams adapt players). It’s more a show of how these kids dad who is a sports promoter and notable speaker has pushed his lads and used different media to promote them at an early age rather than just natural talent alone getting them to where they need to be. I was in Canada a few years back and spoke about grassroots football to a few people and they mentioned how the costs are astronomical even to play for the local Sunday side and that stuff before the costs of travelling etc... so natural talent will always be missed over there too more than here I’d imagine.
It was about $200 a month subs along with $2/300 to buy all the branded kits for the local team ... along with 100 mile trips to play matches in Canada as opposed to the £5 subs a match here and £3/4 subs for the winter months training to pay for a 3G pitch with kits etc provided by the clubs here.
