Burnley players with 300 league appearances

There are 20 of them. Brian Pilkington, who died today, is the twentieth with exactly 300 appearance. Who are the 19 men ahead of him?
(Not Ben Mee. Mee has about 6 more to go. It was realising that he's getting close that first made me think about the "300 club".)

Absolutely. He has his moments. And he / we know his limitations.
But what a signing he has been.
How many young kids do you sign from Man City. Who go on to captain the club in the premier league and never leave.

I think Joseph Taylor was the first to clock up over 300 appearances.
George Waterfield & Willie Watson.
Was about to say Tommy Boyle but even though he had 12 years at the Turf his career was interrupted by WW1.

Correct. Watson was the only one of Halley Boyle and Watson to make 300. Boyle 201, Halley 137.

I thought he had major limitations when he first played for us in 2011/12. Then I realised it was having to play in the centre of defence alongside David Edgar.

Only two short between them. Fletcher had 297 out of the 298.

He's been brilliant for us, and is a top defender. His limitation is fairly clear, and the reason he's not at one of the top clubs and/or in the England squad like Tarks. His ability on the ball just isn't as good as the very best defenders.

One of the best 'pure' defenders in the Premier league in my opinion. I get what you mean by limited but not a fair description. Plenty of classy 'on the ball' defenders who are severely limited in defending.

Totally agree, I'd rather have my defenders able to defend first.

Excellent penalty.box defender. Brave as a lion and seems to thrive on having to protect his goalie.

With the modern game, I don't think Jerry Dawson's record will be challenged any time soon .... signed in 1907 and played until 1928, with two England Caps thrown in, but declared himself unfit for the 1914 FA Cup final ... his long-time understudy, Ronnie Sewell played instead.
