Your European super league ?
Your European super league ?
With UEFA wanting to increase group games from 6 to 10 and in doing so getting rid of whatever the league cup is called these days I see a super league getting closer. Personally the sooner the better then we can get our cups back and meaningful but if this super league was to be formed who would be in it? Obviously it wouldn't be equal nation quotas, other than PSG who else would France expect to be there so I'm asking you all to select an 18 or 20 club league.

Re: Your European super league ?
We won’t be so I don’t give a flying fish.
Re: Your European super league ?
Ha Ha yeah alright then
Re: Your European super league ?
I think we are all aware of that and we could easily name the clubs the 'elite' don't want, just as the premier league didn't want us, John Sadler after the Derby game explained it very well. This super league has been mooted for years and it will happen I hope it does and we can get back to being what we were, I loved the league cup even the semi defeat by Swindon. We will never be mega backed and we don't want to be.

I think Accy Stanley should be given a shout for it
I don't think anyone is taking the OP seriously

Re: Your European super league ?
Man United, Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan, Ajax and Bayern Munich are the only true Mega clubs in Europe.
There are quite a few 2nd level 'big clubs' who would have a very good argument to be included such as Man City, Arsenal, PSG, AC Milan, Roma or Lazio, Benfica, PSV Eindhoven, Marseille & Athletico Madrid.
Other clubs such as Chelsea or Spurs, Porto, Sevilla, Zenit St Petersburg, Shaktar Donetsk & Dortmund could each make a convincing case for inclusion

I'm not really interested. I guess it will be great for armchair fans, but I'd just like to see it put on bt sports and then the whole lot be a flop, bt bankrupted, and man u and the Scousers told that they can come back if they start in div 2.
Let's see how many of their " fans" stick around at that point.

It should include all current PL teams except us. We would then be the best team in the new Pl league. Cue we are the champions

Re: Your European super league ?
You've probably made a good list there but I would hardly call AC Milan and the current City set up '2nd level'. This is actually quite a good question because I am convinced it will happen but the logistics are a nightmare. Assuming even a 20 team league (which I doubt because the big boys will scream 'too many games') how would you allocate places? Our 'big 6' would all want to be there but you couldn't have 6 teams from one country. Athletico Madrid would be a serious contender, that would make 9 from 2 countries. Juventus and the 2 Milans would want a go, thats 12 from 3. You couldn't have such a league without Ajax and probably PSV. That would be nearly three quarters of the league given to 4 countries. Then what would happen to the countries that didn't get a team in it at all? Sue UEFA for trade descriptions?bfcmik wrote: ↑Sun Feb 09, 2020 5:53 pmMan United, Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan, Ajax and Bayern Munich are the only true Mega clubs in Europe.

I certainly wouldn't want to be the organiser.
