I would absolutely love Brentford to win, BUT I suspect that this is one of those games where Leeds will pull a few goals from somewhere. They have Phillips back too. Here’s hoping....

Two great derby games if Leeds come up... at their best they are a joy to watch... but imploding as usual.

102.7 FM if you don't mind radio, popey & Whelan, I'm listening to it, sounds a very even game.

What is striking whenever I watch the Championship is the lack of discipline from the players. Silly tricks and flicks in dangerous areas of the pitch.

3.0. Why hasn't a bigger championship club poached Mowbray, he's clearly doing too good a job.

Re: Tonight are we Brentford ?
Forest flopping again, what's the point in beating Leeds,if you're then going to lose at home to Charlton, sums up the Championship.
Big chance for Fulham and WBA tomorrow, let's see if they can take it.
Stanley virtually ensuring survival with a great away win 2-0 at Shrewsbury,13 points clear of danger now after a mid-season stutter.

Watched the Brentford v Leeds game last night and not impressed with either side, both were there for the taking.
Our side that won promotion in 2016 would have most certainly took all 3 pts against both these teams

Almost beautiful to behold the implosion of Leeds.Their keeper error ( above )was poetry in motion and sums up their season in a few strides !! Wonderful scenes

Re: Tonight are we Brentford ?
Stanley are back to some kind of form now and have been for a few weeks with the odd stumble. With their crowds and finances Coleman and his team work bloody miracles at that club. I think what he does there is on par or even better than what Dyche does for us, and that is saying something.
Alas I don't like what is happening at Rovers. Despite some weird runs they have managed to keep in touch with the chasing pack at the top. Mowbray is a damn good manager (too good for them) and they may just have the players to give them a shout. Please please please don't let it happen - make it go away mother.

Don't particularly want Rovers up, but if it happens, it happens. Yes, Mowbray does seem to be getting it together for them, houseboy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 9:58 am

but if they came up, I think we'd batter em.
The main problem is that rigmarole with the coach travel.

Re: Tonight are we Brentford ?
Yeah - feel sorry for the guy who lives about 10 minutes walk from Ewood but has to go to Burnley to catch a coach to the away game. Don't know if he still lives there but that is a shocking state of affairs for a family man with no history (apparently) of football violence. They must change the whole thing soon. At what other games do they do this? Yeah it gets a bit hairy at times but is it any worse than say West Ham v Millwall? Newcastle v Sunderland? Or just about any of the Brum derbys? A sledge hammer to crack a nut comes to mind.ElectroClaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 10:41 amDon't particularly want Rovers up, but if it happens, it happens. Re: Tonight are we Brentford ?
Well it didn't work out the way we had hoped but it can still be done. Had the Brentford game on the radio and Swansea on the telly and if it hadn't have been for a couple of goals at Griffin Park I think I would have fallen asleep the Swansea game was terrible although I think VAR would have given the Swans a late pen anyway a Stacksteads man got MOM, if there was one.
