Eckersley vegan milk
The first national vegan milkround is being launched by the ex Manchester United footballer Richard Eckersley. Nut based milk in glass bottles is delivered to customers in Totnes, Devon with plans to expand across the U.K. (The Guardian)

He's had that shop for a couple of years now, remember a thread about it on the board. So he's now expanding and delivering milk.

At least it’s enterprising. I can imagine there would be demand for that in that area. Can’t imagine it would do so well around Burnley !

Wasn’t there a bird from Burnley ( or around ) on the Apprentice couple of years ago making “ nut milk”? She was a bit naive “when I expand I’m gona give my family jobs coz I feel sorry for them “ but passionate about her idea ,I think she lost in the final .

Made it myself, once. For the pure novelty of it. Surprisingly nice. Almonds in water, leave them for a day or two, strain it. Almond milk isn't exactly cheap to buy in the shops but it's tasty. Vegan and vegetarian diets (and lifestyle) becoming more commonplace will see demand continue to increase, economies of scale will continue to bring prices down.
