The Dyche/Coleman (possible) Connection

Post by houseboy » Wed Feb 12, 2020 4:12 pm

Just having a look recently at Stanley's stats for games, especially recently, and there is a startling similarity between them and us. I've mentioned on another thread today that Coleman has achieved things at Accrington not disimilar to what Dyche has achieved at Burnley, given the crowds there and the finances, obviously they aren't in the PL of course but given the town etc the fact that they are in the league at all, let alone League 1 is nothing short of miraculous.
Stanleys games, at least recently, have seen them yet again punching well above their weight (like us) and the game stats are showing that they are winning games with sometimes less than 40% posession (again like us). Coleman also can be a bit abrasive in interviews (like Dyche) and you get the impression he won't be messed with (like Dyche).

Have they ever been seen in the same place at the same time? When we have played them has one of them had a lookalike in the dugout? Spooky!!!

Coleman does get value for money from loan signings.

I could be wrong on this but Accrington Stanley do seem to get a lot of red cards.

I'm sometimes surprised we don't end up loaning more of our youngsters out to Stanley. It would be easy to keep tabs on them, they'd be playing a good standard, at a good club, under a very good, experienced manager and in a more than decent side and Stanley don't have the cash to throw around on permanent transfers.
