That's a costly couple of minutes,Wood's injury more concerning than Danny's goal TBH.

I’ve seen u11’s cover the play better than Pope did then , he was a stride down , Mercer will flay him for that . Still a very good strike from ings though

They are doing well at getting players between our back 4 and midfield. Then 1 pass though puts us in trouble and on the back foot.
We're not doing anything to stifle it. A sitter in midfield helps this.

Vydra getting into the game now, been a better few minutes from us. Still looking 2nd best, they're pressing better than us at the moment.

More workrate help with this ;-)

We certainly miss what Ings offers. Near post calamity aside he's adding so much to their team and getting involved in play.

For the goal all he needed was a tiny bit of space. Great finish.

Thing is, sadly for him it's a ticking bomb until his next injury.

Hooper really is a clueless ref. Every decision it's like he tosses a coin.

We've suddenly become crap again at passing that round object to those things on two legs.

The balls out from the back have been pretty awful in the main.

To be fair it's not the kind of day where it's easy to play fluid football. On a day like today you want to play it long.

Bright start but have to say that Southampton were the better side that half.

The thing is, they're managing it in the main. Let's just hope that Southampton tire
with this very hard pressing that they are doing. A forlorn hope, I know, but one can
but hope.

Yes, their number 7.

Seriously though, they aren't doing any better than we are. Drawing at home. They also don't have the kind of players to play that way.

Southampton have done their homework, go tight on McNeil and we have no outlet other than hit long, jay on numerous occasions has pointed out to keep it down and play it to feet
