Why as he been allowed to train at another club then?
Closer to home, possibly?

As others have suggested, there are bound to be things with this that we don't know about.

Now you're just making stuff up.

Hardly surprising from someone who thinks we should get rid of Ben Mee.

Not making anything up, unlike you.... Get rid of the ball!!!. Its what he should have done, not get rid of Mee

Yeah, of course that's what you meant! ;)

Despite it being explained to you, you still insist it was a mistake.

Lively in the first half and in a great vain of form so I was surprised he was hooked at half time.

Also not taken a penalty for five years before that! Doubt very much he was assigned to take it. Only player who had the bottle to step up maybe

Wheres the 'facts'
He’d scored a penalty for West Ham against Burnley the season before.

Yes, but why let the facts get in the way of a good story? :D

There's a thread for the better striker, you know, the one who scored the winning goal for OUR team :D

Cracking goal. And fair play to come back from the injuries and play as well as he has.

Disgusting celebrating like he did though against his old club. Shows how much contempt he had for Dyche and the club.
Disgusting? He ran off to the centre of the pitch away from both sets of supporters , then showed the joy and passion that scaling a goal brings to a player , whilst being however near any staff or fans from either side.

And we wonder why there’s such a snowflake mentality around these days ....absolutely nothing wrong with what he did what so ever.

Quite a nostalgic day really. Ings scores in a Burnley game and Burnley get 3 points .

Well. A tongue in cheek, ironic post somehow ended up being about Gibson. Only on UTC

For what it’s worth he should have celebrated like mad. I would. And as someone pointed out above he’s employed by Southampton now. And it would be disrespectful to them if he didn’t.

It’s ironic though because that’s the genuine view of the likes of Gray or Austin do anything against us.

I'll never forget it
Or perhaps Taylor was the designated Penalty taker...

Ings was a great player for us , and I believe every player should celebrate a goal for his present team no matter who it's against .
Southampton fan isn't he? If I scored for Burnley I'd go ******* mental whoever it was against.

Sorry 1 penalty in 5 years in a pointless EFL cup game then was the designated taker in his first game back after months out.

It's certainly possible, if he feels he's got no future here.

Stranger things have happened... much stranger.

Vydra probably didn't see a future here but he still trained with us?

Joe Hart doesn't see a future here doesn't spit his dummy out and create problems at the club which pays him very well

"Whilst I'm still a member of that squad I'm going to work my hardest for that team.

"Obviously I have to respect my contract and I'll fight for Burnley whilst I'm contracted to them"

Gibson should take a leaf out of their book
