Exactly what we all hoped we had signed and what we’ve been praying for when needing early subs.

Unbelievable finish.

Hopefully he gets a run now while his chance is there. And takes a world of confidence from it. Especially with euros coming he needs it as much as we do.

Never seen anything from him to make me think he’s good enough for us, but you have to take your hat off to that goal. Superb finish, no right to score from there facing in that direction.

Hope it’s the start of renaissance for him at Burnley as he was definitely on his way out and we either need him to come good to get a good wedge back or even preferably come good to contribute regularly.

You can tell how pleased all the lads were for him. Let's hope Dyche gives him at least the chance he deserves now.

You don't become a bad footballer overnight, there's clearly a goalscorer in there somewhere

He’s had moments with us and proved it at championship level.

Bournemouth when we tubbed them he was great then we went back to the same old system after that.

Barnes and Wood have been vital. But I’m intrigued to see how two ‘footballers’ gel in their absence.

Was brilliant to see Lennon smiling run over and jump on him.

If Wood is going to be out for a few weeks, then Vydra will get a run.

That goal is pure class - the chest down, the second touch and the finish. Especially in the horrible weather conditions.

You don’t do things like that unless you have talent.

I hope so. Especially against Bournemouth again.

Teams prepare for us to play the same way. If anything they won’t really know what to expect.

As one who has questioned his ability at this level that was absolutely top draw. The touches the composure and the finish...

Ps love how almost all the lads celebrated with him. He’s clearly liked

Biggest thing for me wasn't his strike, it's the reaction of his team mates to it - complete and utter unity

Very pleased for him to get the goal today. It must be very tough getting so few chances.

Today with that finish we saw why we bought him. That's something that he could bring to the team. Our other strikers don't really offer too many finishes like that.

We also saw why his chances have been limited. His pressing play was very poor and despite him being match-fit he looked a good few yards behind our usual pressing standards. His link-up play wasn't quite there either and he offered a lot less down the channels whilst being easily pushed off the ball.

But given a single half a chance in or around the box and he is (perhaps?) our best option.

Well done today though Matej and a super finish!

Was a great goal. Not just the finish but the way his first touch made space for himself. Looks like Wood could be out next week so hopefully Vydra gets his chance.

Great goal from Vydra and brilliant assist from Hendrick.

I think we need to try our hardest to keep them both, with Vydra there is obv a good player in there but criminally underused

I guess he will have to play now for a bit hope he gets some more goals to silence the doubters.

Fantastic to see how he ran over to Lennon to celebrate. Makes you want to keep both of them next season. Clearly it means so much to them.

Considering the conditions the perfectly weighted ball to him, aimed at his chest not aimlessly launched is also worth noting. Hendrick is so underrated.

The ball from Hendrick was a peach of a pass and he very nearly did it again later on.

Got to say you have to hand it to the lad...

Unlike Gibson who has chucked his toys right out of the pram... Vyds showed today he is a consumate professional and if Woody has pulled a hammy (as it looked like) then he should get an extended run in the side alongside Jay-Rod

How is he possibly match fit? That’s the most minutes he’s had on a football pitch for over a year!

Taking the misses for a belated valentine's day meal in a bit of a pricey restaurant tonight.

That goal, the celebration of the whole team and the result will make the hefty bill I'm gonna be looking at , a whole lot easier to swallow.

Delighted for Vydra, made my day it has.
