Todays Ref

Post by Weymouth Claret » Sat Feb 15, 2020 9:28 pm

Thought today's ref was excellent, made allowances for the wet conditions and was keen to let the game flow.Good to see as so many refs are keen to take centre stage.

Thought he had a good game.

That said can see why saints fans wont be happy. Not sure how Cork didnt get booked for one and while I can see why he didnt give the handball, I would be livid if we didnt get that.

First bad foul was by Saints and subsequently booked some of ours for less

Blatant foul as our player was about to dribble in to their area.
Free kick and a yellow. But he waved play on.

Thought he allowed their players to control him in the 1st half, but Tarks put him right in the end.
Their players were throwing themselves everywhere

He was awful, but being a lower league ref he let things go a lot more. Sometimes we're a bit slow to react to how the referee is. If he's playing on all the time stop going down easy etc..

They had the Cork tackle and Mee handball. He gave them everything else as well as only a booking for the Bardsley face smash. Then there was the free kick in a dangerous place he played advantage too for us but didn't call it back. As well as Vydra getting brought down a yard outside the area.

Not the best ref we’ve ever had. Needs to lose a stone or two or he will keeping on making mistakes.

He is on the Moss diet....eat what you can, whenever the opportunity strikes.

Not perfect by quite a long chalk, but no worse than some of the belmtards on the PL list.

Not too bad.

I thought he was a honest ref who called it as he saw it. Was he right every decision? No IMHO but he got the big decisions right and you can't expect more from a human being.
