How each team defends...

Post by cmobfc » Mon Feb 17, 2020 4:16 am

Came across this brilliant graphic demonstrating the areas of the pitch in which each team does most of their defending. It shows how effective our high press is with our strikers working hard to close down allowing Westwood and Cork to pounce on loose balls in midfield. We are only bettered by they very top teams. Villa and Newcastle on the other hand...

What do you mean, we are only bettered by the top teams? The graphic only demonstrates where defending is done on the pitch. There's nothing to say our way of pressing is much more effective than Newcastle's style of defending, as evidenced by silimar amount of goals conceded.

Hmmm might paint the living room Evertons defence colour. Grey is right on point at the moment.
