Points required to qualify for Europe
Points required to qualify for Europe
Here are the points that teams got in the previous five seasons.
And just in case Man city do get thrown out in time for next season with 5th and 8th qualifying.

8th could qualify, if City lose their appeal. Here’s how it works. We even get a little mention.

Our 70 points should do it.

seems lot of fans divided on another European adventure, personally I would like to see it yet, I also don't think we will make it that far but I never say never.

If they are divided then they may as well give up watching football. What's the point in being in the PL if Europe isn't the aim?

My trip to Athens was one of the best times I've had watching Burnley.
Another European tour? Hell yeh!

Re: Points required to qualify for Europe
I think 54/55 points may be enough to qualify for Europe but far from
certain we will get close to that.
However lets hope we go for it and get as many points a possible.
Realistically I think we should get between 45 and 50 points
and finish in the top ten.
That should give us a reasonable additional prize pot to add to the coffers
although it may be that the players get the bulk of any prize money.
Prize money may be a greater incentive for the players than trying to qualify for Europe?
Ensuring we stay up is still probably the aim and we're not far off.

Hopefully we will have enough to get at least top half which gives us roughly £15M extra monies which can buy a player in itself.

Dont think we will make it. Its a big ask And if we get close i genuinely think we would be instructed to ease off.
That said would love it if we could.

Would be great for the fans again.
I suspect we’ll be on the beach once we hit the 40 point mark though.

That was a harder read than some stuff I've read on quantum physics. FFS and they said they'd keep it simple.
So just run that by me again - no, don't bother I'll just wait and see.

Re: Points required to qualify for Europe
All this is a bit academic because I read a lengthy article last night about City and their appeal. They could potentially drag it out for years and have promised to open the oil purses to do it. If the the appeal is allowed it is likely they will be allowed to play until it is sorted and a recent case involving some Turkish bloke (now coaching at Watford) took 10 bloody years to sort out. City WILL drag this out and it is quite likely that UEFA will back down because of the sheer cost of fighting the case and the loss of face if they lose (and they easilly could apparently). I fully expect the oil rich barstewards will be in the CL next season, and for seasons to come, probably never even getting a ban anyway. There is also the fact that some teams have received punishments for similar 'crimes' and if City win that could open up a whole other can of worms.
City won't serve any ban guys - no point getting excited.
