Northern rail

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Tue Feb 18, 2020 8:01 pm

Il print off tomorrow’s train ticket I think. Save the hassle of any messing at the station.

You can’t make it up. They can’t even get this right.

Last time I didn’t print off myself they refused to print it in the ticket office saying it’s not their problem

Northern Rail are just our German cousins getting back at us for historical grudges.
Important ones like, winning the World Cup. 8-)

This, though whether the train turns up and runs on time is another thing altogether

I occasionally use the machines at Settle or Skipton... Skipton nor Settle have ever refused to print off the tickets if the machine is out of order.....

Have got our tickets for a trip to London in April mid week Theatre break ... they are on my phone on the "Trainline App" as well as printed off as hard copy.....

I’m old fashioned. I prefer to have the physical ticket in case my battery goes.

Long story. In fact very long story short. Rather than completely lose it I drove to Todmorden. They printed it off no problem.

A bit more of the long story. It was during the beast from the east. I got stuck on the back roads to Todmorden for six hours

They've lost the franchise, but whoever takes over will have the same rolling stock, the same staff, and the same timetable.

I have to get the train into Leeds daily.

I cant think of another service/product that consistently fails to deliver what it is supposed to do.

Well. It’s not northern rail. But the Avanti west coast was fun. With double booked seats galore. And train changing and coming into a different platform one minute before departure. Nowt like a bit of extra last minute chaos.
