I booked a holiday on booking dot com and could change it the day before I went. I’m sure they couldve sent the kids on the holiday and done a name change.Dyched wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 10:12 pmWith all the detail what goes into modern day football and the planning of players, diets etc etc. Do you not think their trip abroad would have been organised in the summer? The FA royally stuffed up the replay dates and Liverpool should be congratulated at stick 2 fingers up to them.

Lineker and Owen saying a top club wouldn’t accept that style of football. Hilarious how people can’t handle a side that play to it’s strengths. Got forbid they don’t just let Liverpool shoot at will.Bin Ont Turf wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 10:10 pmThere are some on here, and some Man Utd, Soton, Arsenal, Bournemouth, Leicester etc etc fans, players and managers who say different.
I wonder what they are thought of generally in Spain, hoofball Madrid?
No shots on target. That’s Liverpool’s problem they can’t break them down.

Yeah but if you booked a holiday months in advance with your work giving you time off only for them to change their mind 10 or so days before it’ll be a different story.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 10:14 pmI booked a holiday on booking dot com and could change it the day before I went. Perhaps they should have took their job more serious and beat The giants of Shrewsbury in the first place.

Klopp. ‘They are happy with that result. All they want to do is score and then play like that. They’d be happy with nil nil. They targeted Mane. They didn’t even get a yellow card today which is really funny’. (They did)cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 10:05 pmLiverpool have well and truly been Atleticoed.
Van Dyk. ‘They got a lucky goal that wasn’t even a chance’
Robertson ‘As soon as they score they start diving and rolling round’ Van Dyk ‘yes that’s the way they play it’s Spanish football it’s their game’
Hahah. Brilliant.

What gets me is that some fans, players and managers don't seem to accept that there are better teams with better players which influence how another team plays.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 10:16 pmLineker and Owen saying a top club wouldn’t accept that style of football. I mean we have Ben Mee at the back (and god do we love him) but the day I see him playing it around inside or anywhere near our penalty area, is the day I have an heart attack.

The difference is if we played against teams that had spent what we have we’d play a lot differently (see our championship seasons) than we do against teams in the PL.Bin Ont Turf wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 10:28 pmWhat gets me is that some fans, players and managers don't seem to accept that there are better teams with better players which influence how another team plays.

A Madrid spend massive amounts and Simeone gets payed more than Pep and Klopp combined a year to serve up rubbish.

Correct. Standards slipped. Attention and focus lost. So they didn’t win. So they then had a replay. And didn’t bother to turn up. Saves their players so they didn’t get injured. Then captain and star player injured in the game they saved them for.

Re: Atletico v Liverpool
Atletico may not play the most flowing football.but by golly it's effective,Simeone's CL record isn't too shabby either 2 finals and a semi-final in the past 7 years, that's a far better record than Pep can boast at Man City despite their nefarious accounting methods at the Etihad.Dyched wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 10:34 pmThe difference is if we played against teams that had spent what we have we’d play a lot differently (see our championship seasons) than we do against teams in the PL.

In addition Atletico are the only club outwith Barca/Real to win La Liga in the last 15 seasons,so Simeone must be doing something right, and as for spending bucketloads, their summer spending amounted to a net profit of around £60m,so they're hardly breaking the bank compared to the European superpowers.

Klopp would rather have him for the home leg than leave him, on still finish 1-0, and he gets booked again.cricketfieldclarets wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2020 11:51 pmChasing a game and you substitute your best player because he’s been booked? I wouldn’t say it’s tactical and if it is further proof simeone totally outwitted and outclassed Klopp.

There's more than one way to win a football game, what annoys me is the so called top teams moaning at the methods another team uses to get a result. It happens with us all the time, you could probably count on one hand the times we've deserved to win a game of football according to the opposition manager. If a team artfully uses a low block you have to be good enough to break it down. If you can't, the opposition deserve credit.

Klopp already warning Madrid to expect a hostile atmosphere at Anfield could this be a veiled request for the Liverpool thugs to attack the team bus again? Seemed to work last time so not try it again sure that Meryside plod will deal with it again as effectively as before.

And the biggest irony was the moaning about the opposition dugout being animated.

Klopp. Easy to be mr nice guy when you win every game. Out thought last night by Atletico and Liverpool looked poor And the true Klopp was on show for all to see. I would be delighted if we played like Atletico and beat Liverpool.
