Lolloping
Is it really a word?
It's what I like about Dwight McNeil. He lollops around, almost lulling the opposition into a false sense of security, then he bursts into action and shoots, hits the post, or scores! Awesome!
Lolloping - word of the day !

Re: Lolloping
Dwight’s running style is somewhere between a lollop and a scamper
Re: Lolloping
Is it me or did he look faster today on his 70 yrd burst. Not seen him move that quick before.

Re: Lolloping
I don't know about the lolloping or scampering, but Dwight looks to have filled out a lot this season. He looked quite slight in his first season, but he is looking a lot more solid this season without any loss of pace. That is really going to help him to get even better in terms of his all round game.
Awhile ago we had the Tarks thighs thread. When he first arrived Tarks was a big solid unit, albeit a little chunky. During his time with us his physique has changed noticeably, becoming leaner and more athletic looking.
The people in our nutrition and sports science department seem to be doing a great job helping our players to realise their physical potential.

Re: Lolloping
His pace has improved this season, or so it appears because his style is so deceptive.
He's not a John Connelly, Dave Thomas, Leighton James, or Steve Kindon, but he is something SPECIAL!

Billing was lolloping back when Dwight scored, if hed of pinned his ears back he would of caught him.

Re: Lolloping
He’s like Taylor. Their running style makes their pace deceptive. Both can shift away from opposition players without looking like they’re putting much effort into it.

Dwight has a very interesting style, he only gets into an actual sprint a couple of times a game, and he is actually very quick. Taylor is more conventional, but very quick. Someone mentioned physical shape, look at Taylor, the guy is the most powerful, quick left back I’ve seen.

Re: Lolloping
That will come not only with training but also age. He’s technically still a young lad. And will still be physically developing for at least another couple of years.Long Time Lurker wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2020 12:47 amI don't know about the lolloping or scampering, but Dwight looks to have filled out a lot this season. As long as he doesn't lollop off to Liverpool or Arsenal, or whoever.

Re: Lolloping
Has a touch of Glenn Little about him!
Also, Charlie Taylor, class act, player of the season for me and can't be far off a look in for England.

Oh no I didn't. I won't compare ANYONE to Ralph Coates
If I was to suggest anyone to compare with Dwight, it would be David Eyers

Re: Lolloping
He is a real talent. He is getting better all the time and is still only 20. Reminds me of Gareth Bale in style.
