Yet she still doesn't make an effort to lose weight, despite having previously claiming to have found the cure for Britain's obesity problem.
Tbf she has been trying to count the calories.
Her main issue now being her inability to count
I thank you

Well done Ringo, you went back to a story in a Scottish newspaper from
24 years ago to find that. I think that's desperate and disgraceful even by your standards.
Ringo is very selective of what he describes disgraceful.

Aah the old "Times past so it doesn't count as racism" approach!
Sorry, when you've actually used actual specific physiological features that are unique to a particular race as part of your arguement.
``blonde, blue-eyed girls from Finland, instead of nurses from the Caribbean who know the language and understand British culture and institutions''.
Ms Abbott had added: ``And are Finnish girls, who may never have met a black person before, let alone touched one, best suited to nurse in multicultural Hackney?''
That makes you a pure unadulterated racist. End of.

I'm always amazed at the level of abuse she receives, especially given the fact that our prime minister is a PROVEN liar.

I'm no fan of Diane Abbott and have previously found some of her interviews and responses to be hilariously, and scarily, incompetent.
However, to see her being accused of racism by the board's most racist nut-job is pure filth. Fantastic entertainment.

My suspicion is that, had she been a middle class male Tory, her ‘idiosyncrasies’ would no doubt have been characterised as being quirky and endearing. An absent minded professor type. She would have become a loveable national treasure. A bit like Johnson really.

Digging up previous remarks or actions is sadly part of today and what Ringo has done is only what many others have done to play the racist, sexist, homophobic, islamophobic, anti Semitic cards which once played are like trump cards in a game of whist. No matter which suit should win the card tops it
I see that the CEO of Ryan is islamophobic suggesting most bombers have moved from Irish to Muslim men and these should be profiled more than young families at airports

Much misquoted, that one.
I'm not a fan of Abbott. Her particularly divisive take on "identity politics" doesn't fit my view and she's definitely said racist things before. I also don't think she's particularly competent.
Which makes it all the more shameful that a fair part of the criticism of her is personal or trivial and, sometimes, seems like it also has hints of racism. There's plenty to criticise without mentioning her f***ing shoes.

How can you accuse me of racism? Did I say that it wasn't racist? I think an apology is in order.
All I said was that in a desperate attempt to smear a politician who has announced her retirement due to ill health you thought it was appropriate to trawl the internet and drag up a story from 24 years ago.
Why not turn your outrage on the governments failure to release the report into Russian Interference in UK elections or is what Diane Abbott said 24 years ago more important to you?
Alternatively what do you think about the government banning journalists they don't like from government briefings. Do you not find that disgraceful as well?

Look. I don’t know who’s racist and who isn’t, but if a racist calls another racist a racist, doesn’t mean it isn’t so.
Be a shame for DA and her family if she has developed a debilitating disease... it’s a shame when anyone develops one.
She gets pelters because she consistently proves that she shouldn’t speak in public. She may well be intelligent, but she’s just not at the races, and the Labour Party will be in much better shape when both her and Corbyn are gone.
For the improvements required, they will have to take RLB with them, otherwise she will just carry on with the same old same old. Unfortunately, she’s being mentored and guided by these two which is the primary reason they didn’t disappear after the election result.

From the BBC
Diane Abbott apologises for racist Twitter post
'White people love playing 'divide & rule'".
It was a response to criticism of media use of "black community leaders" after the Stephen Lawrence murder trial.
Labour's Chuka Umunna said party leader Ed Miliband had told Ms Abbott her remarks were "unacceptable".
In a statement, Ms Abbott said: "I apologise for any offence caused.
"I understand people have interpreted my comments as making generalisations about white people. I do not believe in doing that."
A Labour Party source said: "We disagree with Diane's tweet. It's wrong to make sweeping generalisations about any race, creed or culture.

From sky.
During the 2010 Labour leadership race, Ms Abbott raised eyebrows by stating: "West Indian mums will go to the wall for their children."
She made the remark to explain her decision to send her son James to a fee-paying school after having previously criticised the private sector.
BBC interviewer Andrew Neil responded: "So black mums love their kids more than white mums, do they?"
He went on to ask: "Supposing Michael [Portillo, also on the programme] said white mums will go to the wall for their children. Why did you say that? Isn't it a racist remark?"
* The Hackney North and Stoke Newington MP's decision to educate her child privately caused a storm of criticism in 2003 because Ms Abbott attacked her Labour colleague, Harriet Harman, for sending her son to a grammar school.
"She [Harman] made the Labour Party look as if we do one thing and say another," Ms Abbott said in 1997.
She has described her own decision as "indefensible" and "incoherent" but also said she feared her child would fall in with "black gangs" if he went to a state school.

Apologies Boss. Just thought I'd take the opportunity to mock the left wing extremists that got themselves into a right palava . Simply cos the new Tory chancellor tweeted a picture of himself making a brew, using Yorkshire Tea, and threatening to boycott the great product , in a communal hissy fit!

Most of us agree she is a hypocrite and a pretty dumb one at that.
Even the small minority defending her on this thread have not come up with anything which would suggest otherwise.
That doesn’t make her any more of a lying hypocritical racist than Boris. He’s just cleverer and better of getting away with it (or actually doesn’t give a sh-it what he says)

Sorry, I thought you accusing me of being a racist. I've since had my meds and on rereading it I realise you weren't.
As a Lancashire town should't we all boycott Yorkshire tea any way or would that be racist? Probably best not to talk about it in public just in case some easily offended snowflake goes off on one.

Not only is DA a racist bigot, she is very dangerous. She creates racial divide for her own political gain, and before those on here pull the sympathy card due to her health, just look at the hurt she caused to the families of IRA bombs, with her comment that an IRA victory would be a victory for us all. Not to mention the hurt and damage she would have caused to millions had she become home secretary. She is downright evil, far worse than Johnson or Trump, and that's saying something

One of the worst most racist politicians to have graced the house . Even the most odious right wing Tory isn’t a patch on her almost pathological hatred of white people . I’m
amazed the red tops haven’t given her a torrid time on alcohol intake . For instance maybe an imaginary printing that she’s been half ****** for the last 4/5 years and a gin soaked car crash of a person these last few yrs
