Can those of you who sit on the back row of the BL stand see the big screen ok?

Post by icu81b4 » Mon Feb 24, 2020 1:19 pm

I used to have a season ticket there and didn't have a very good view of the old screen, so am wondering if this is still the case?

I go to watch what is happening on the field and the big screen is of no real interest, although I can see it from where I sit in the BL.

If you can't see the screen then you don't know when incidents are being reviewed and what they are being reviewed for though.

Ashington doesn't need to. His years of refereeing experience tells him when something isnt quite right.

He has two choices. Wait on the crowd reaction or watch this message board go in to melt down. :)

They announce that there is a review but they do not show the incident on the screen until after the decision is made.
I don't have any interest in watching VAR decisions, or anything to do wih VAR, I prefer to watch the onfield officials doing their job, or not, as the case may be, particularly the AR in front of the BL stand on Saturday! He did not see a number of things but, apart from the penalty, there was no review, in spite of the fact that Bournemouth got two corners when players should have been originally flagged for offside.

I realise that many fans do want to see the screen, however, it has no interest to me at all, however, I never go to the cinema either so I must be suffering from some phobia ---they have a name for everything these days.

If big screens are to be useful, they should be seen!

No view from Longside Upper, middle.

The AR certainly missed the sly kick of Bardsleys on Smith (I think.it was) when they were not invloved in the play. Hehe Bardsley.

I'm pretty sure that at one time when this issue was raised a while back there was talk/a proposal to put TV screens hanging from the front of the BL so that people in there who couldn't see the big screen could view on these TV screens. Has that not happened?

most in the BL would be happy to focus o the pattern of their tartan travel blanket from 18 inches away, let alone the big screen.

Is there not a second screen to be put up?

We sit on the back row and can't see the screen. I think it's very frustrating and feel given the introduction of VAR everyone in the ground should have access to a screen. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Those in the BL would only want to watch repeats of Last of the Summer wine on it so pointless them seeing it.

Put Dixon of dock green on the screen and they'd all be rushing to the front :D

All these quips about the BLS being like God's waiting room are getting a bit old now.

I sit on Row P of Bob Lord and can see all of screen when sat down and not much of it when stood up. You can extrapolate from this how easy it is to see from any given row in BL.
