I hope not though. We want to keep him as long as possible but if he went to the Euros and had a fair tournament we wouldn't stand a chance of keeping him. The longer our players stay under the radar the better. It would be great for him but I'm thinking along the 'selfish' lines.

For sure, we need to keep him. The national manager often takes a young 'different' player, both with a view to the future and for particular qualities.

Dwight is an example of a good candidate.
