Our best goal so far?
Our best goal so far?
It's seems a bit funny experiencing a real feel good factor in February and being able to say we have some excellent goals we can debate on their merit I'm torn between Jayrod at Old Trafford and Vyds first of the season, both quality what do you think?

Hendrick v Brighton for me beats the lot. Easily forgotten because we were so poor that day.

Vydras against Southampton. Wonderful skill, a legitimate world class goal. A goal with so much attached to it too, To me it represents everything good about being a professional both in character and in application, an inspirational goal, one with a positive, life affirming message to tell. I've never been happier for a Burnley goalscorer.

J Rod at Old Trafford. Stunning and little in the build up to suggest a goal was imminent. All very subjective, though.

Re: Our best goal so far?
For me Hendrick's goal at Brighton was anti football at its best. Very late in the game..got us a point real drama.
Though I loved both of the Vydra goals.......
However.....Jay Rods at Old Trafford would have to be my pick ....it was Old Trafford...in front of the Stretford End, it was one hell of a strike and we won....never to be forgotten moment.

Jay vs Man U. The touches, the shot, the bar, the keeper diving in vain...

The goal that goes in off the bar is always the best goal.

It's because it bounces rather than nestles, I reckon. In off the post isn't as good but it's not far behind.
When was our last goal off the post?

Re: Our best goal so far?
Jay's at OT it was some way to seal our first win there in over 60 years.
Re: Our best goal so far?
Dwight crossing when Jay missed another sitter against Bournemouth would have been the best if Jay hadnt of missed it that was on a plate stuff,Barnes would have buried it

Can't help it Taffy! Overemotional due to not having to live an anxious few months in a relegation scrap!

Re: Our best goal so far?
Vydra's Southampton goal had everything. A brilliant pass to pick him out, complete and total control of the football (He knew exactly what he was trying to do.) and a sumptious finish even though he was stretching. That was the best goal I've seen from a Burnley player in many a long year.
