What's our average gate in a stale season in the EFL Championship?
Firstly - it’s not a stale season..they were in the play offs at one point only a few days ago.
Secondly it’s a long time since we averaged 12k crowds so we may aswell enjoy crowing at our success and their demise just in case it’s reversed in the future. They spent long enough doing the same.

You don't even need to find a stale season; when we were promoted in the 2008/09 season our average attendance was 12,711.

But for the 'boycott', in all its solidarity, there'd normally be 12,000 locked outside, if rumours in the stable yard were true.
I think the boycott's had it, Buxton.
Even the dimmest knuckle-scrapers amongst the Rovers fans have twigged now, if there's no Venkys, there's no Rovers.

That was off the back of a few stale seasons though so we had only around half the seasons tickets we do now.
Plus that 2008/9 season we weren’t really pulling up any trees until the last couple of months.
But the main reason was the relatively low number of season tickets.
It is of course the same situation at Deadwood now / the last few years.
If we got relegated I think our season tickets would fall to 12k / 13k over 2 or 3 years if we didn’t go back up and possibly lower depending on how we were doing.

Your right.
Funny while it lasted though.
Hopefully, someone will come in for Mowbray in the summer.
He's doing too good a job.

Rovers are not having a stale season. It is their best for a long time. And I suspect Stoke would have more then than Bournemouth had at ours

Not sure tonight’s result helps us. City may be able to rest a few players in the second leg and therefore play a strong side against us.
I will have some off what you are on

I’ve seen him play lots of times and he is awful. Terrible first touch and plays it back or sideways most of the time - even when he has overlapped into a decent position.
His injury was quite a while ago now - but there is little point commenting on how he used to play prior to the injury. Right now he is poor and has been all season.
He’s made 13 Premier League appearances this season. He’s missed nearly 2 years of football, of course it’s going to take him time and games to try and rediscover his form and confidence. He was probably the 2nd best left back in the world when he first joined City.

He’s been fit and ready to play for more than a year now. He misses a lot of games because he does not get picked.
He’s had plenty of chance to rediscover his form / confidence - confidence is not something he seems to lack.
He’s nearer to the second worst left back in the world now. Pep said in his pre match conference that it was a close call between picking Mendy and a 55 year old Neil Pointon. He decided on Mendy so he can pick Pointon for the cup final as he was concerned about Mendy’s ability to cope with Grealish.

No he hasn't been fit for a year

Hoping for a Norwich win to put the heeby jeebie's up the rest of them down there. Would love them to stay up in place of West ham or Brighton.

A win tonight puts them 4 points from 17th but with a much worse goal difference and 28 played. Another six wins might put them safe. It's going to be super easy, barely an inconvenience

Leicester goal disallowed by VAR,due to a Norwich handball, yellow for Hanley, apart from that not much happening,Vardy absent from the Leicester squad, and it's showing.

The gap between bottom and third, and third and top is the same.

If only you put this much effort in supporting Burnley players eh ?!!
Long and the short of it is that Pep would not play him unless he was fit - he doesn’t have to with that size of a squad - and when he has played he has been for the most part in my opinion poor.
You think he is the second best left back in the world - that’s fine...fill your boots. There’s lots of City fans who don’t even think he’s the second best left back at City.

Good time for Norwich to play them. Still a great three points. Could start getting interesting down there.

He was easily near the top of the list for left backs around the world before City signed him and before his injuries, 2 years later he’s made of glass and hasn’t hit the same standards, if you could read you would understand I never said he was the 2nd best left back in the world right now.
How else is Mendy supposed to recover from 2 years in and out without an extended run in the side? Of course Pep is gonna play him.

Norwich deserved that win and it's a result that changes things at both ends of the table.
Relegation may not now be "Norwich + two from the next 5 up " but 3 from the bottom 6. - so really increases the pressure down there.
Leicester were very lacklustre and, having looked nailed on for 3rd, now have 2 points from their last 4 games and will be only 3 points above Chelsea if that team can beat Bournemouth tomorrow. They'll be hoping Vardy regains fitness, looked a bit toothless up front tonight without him.
I have Vardy in my Fantasy Footy team so I'm a bit peeved on that count but it makes the Premier League a bit more interesting I think.

It’s irrelevant to the original post made on this thread (not by me) asking what is the point of Mendy ? We are talking about Mendy now and he’s just not very good. His decision making his poor. He overlaps - so his fitness must be ok but he then plays the ball back or sideways. When he first came to City he was playing great crosses in - and now he rarely even tries. He often gets caught out of position too - again not sure what that has to with his injuries either.
It’s completely irrelevant what he was like 2 plus years ago - it’s how he is playing now that people are commenting on. And yes I agree he has bad injuries which may effect his confidence but as I said already he is hardly a shrinking violet off the field so why has he become such a negative player ? - he’s playing for Man City where you have brilliant movement from forward players and it’s easy to see why you would question what the point of him is. Zinchenko who is by no means a brilliant full back either is far more positive in the way he plays than Mendy...and he’s had some bad injuries too.
