Great stuff.

Also, a reminder of another local duo, Bird to Beast - my pal Sam Hird and his girlfriend (ex now) Hannah -

Sam is an amazing accomplished musician, a very good footballer (gets it from his dad Kevin) and he is an excellent plasterer.

Does anyone know of Ken Nicoll? He was with Steeleye Span for about 12 years and also the Albion Band and Magna Carta but more noted now for his solo stuff. A Preston lad (although he did live in the states for some years but he's back in Preston now). He is generally considered in the industry to be one of this countries finest acoustic guitarists. I met him once at a gig where he was guesting as the guitarist for another band - lovely bloke but very poilitical (especially about Palestine). I keep up with him on Facebook and he still works extremely hard, very popular in Australia and New Zealand for some reason.

Yes, big fan... Mostly Solo acoustic guitarist like Leo Kottke, Chet Atkins, Tommy Emmanuel and Ry Cooder (I like all Ry's work) Some friends of mine are in an acoustic based band called The Roaring Boys and they recorded a track in my studio recently and stuck it on you tube

I stuck some pedal steel on it.

The voice reminds me of The Sundays...
... which is no bad thing.
