Sightings in Sainsburys today
Picking up some bits in Sainsburys today, and 170 Burnley goals walked past me within 10 seconds of each other, in the forms of Andy Payton and Frank Casper ... delighted to report both gentlemen appeared to be in good form !!
UTC and thanks for the memories !

I've seen Les Lathcham in there before now, and Brian Flynn used to do the family shop on a Sunday morning at the big Tesco's ...

Frank is a diamond. I interviewed him at the Ram in Cliviger for the book but found to my horror on getting home that the recording had failed. I called him and babbled an explanation and a fulsome apology. He called me a silly bugger and said “Same time, same place next week?” Which is when and where I met him to do a second interview. His lads are great company too.

Re: Sightings in Sainsburys today
Probably my two fav all time clarets. Frank was the star of the team of the early seventies. He was the first player to give me butterflies of expectation every time he got near the ball. Payts was a bit more “real”. At a time when my love of football was faltering his love of the club and pride in the shirt shone out of him. A huge thanks to both of them.Clarets4me wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 5:56 pmPicking up some bits in Sainsburys today, and 170 Burnley goals walked past me within 10 seconds of each other, in the forms of Andy Payton and Frank Casper ... delighted to report both gentlemen appeared to be in good form !!

It's actually quite a small Tesco's, it just looks big when Brian's walking around in it.Clarets4me wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 7:13 pmI've seen Les Lathcham in there before now, and Brian Flynn used to do the family shop on a Sunday morning at the big Tesco's ...
