Burnley 4 For England (article)

Evidently we have four possible England players and that is without Ben Mee, Ashley Westwood and Jack Cork...not to mention Jay Rodriguez.

Would love to see Charlie Taylor get a call up.

Taylor deserves one. 2nd best England left back I think. McNeil will likely still have to play for the younger teams, Tarkowski may well be a back up centre back in the squad, and Pope will be no 2 goal keeper.

Taylor deserves a call but for me is behind Chilwell. It’ll be interesting to see how Rose plays today.

McNeil is unlucky that he’s in a generation of exceptional wingers at big clubs.

Taylor, Tarks and Pope will definitely be in you would think.

I'd still have a fit Luke Shaw ahead of Taylor for now. Not much in it though. If Taylor keeps performing I'm sure he'll make the squad soon.

Chilwell is not an insurmountable object. Regularly bang average.

Vydra must be knocking on the door if he keeps turning in performances like last weekends.

Leicester fans on Twitter last night were saying they want Chilwell out. He’s been really poor for a while now.

I would take Taylor over Chilwell and Luke Shae but he is prone to injury.

Chilwell has been appalling of late. Billy big boots syndrome has set in.

Chillwell was poor last night, again. I think Taylor is a better allround left back, who, if he played for a so called "bigger" club, would be in the England squad.

Shaw looks like he has really piled on the pounds. Shame as he looked promising when he first came through

Reading over the last few weeks on here

Tarkowski is the best english ch only second in the league to VVD

Mee should be in the England squad

Taylor is the best english right back which would put him in the top 3/4 in the league

Pope the best english GK and probably in the top 3/4 in the league

Burnley fans are mentally unstable creatures

In fairness the current England squad is not particularly blessed with a lot of defensive & keeping talent so Tarkowski and Pope won't be far off becoming members of the starting 11. Plus a few injuries and you wouldn't be surprised to see Mee get a squad call up

Wow he’s been good at left back... are you telling us he is better on the other side?

Those 4 and McNiel are all top 3 or 4 ENGLISH players in the Premier League at their position. Unfortunately the rest of the squad is lower mid table standard usually so that is why we are a mid table side who may flirt with Europe on occasion or flirt with relegation on occasion.

The big six tend to have good players stacked right across their squads (though that can fail for the odd season) and the other bigger clubs in the division trend towards top half standard players right across their 1st XI and a couple of others.
