Tarks and Taylor outstanding, Mee and Bardsley very good, Pope not much to do.

How is it a good point? why were we so negative and content with a point with 30 minutes still to play? Looks like we don’t want Europe.

Dress it up as you want, but it was a medocre performance against a very poor Newcastle side who was there for the taking.. If we are thinking of getting in Europe again we need to be beating teams like them..

Poor performance but decent result. Can’t play great and win every week so more than happy to take points away from home when we don’t.

Tarks and Mee were immense today. Bardsley struggled and Taylor recovered well on a number of occasions.

Tarks must surely be pushing for an England start.

11 clean sheets in 28 games can’t be ignored.

Lacked serious ambition today sadly but i thought the lads at the back were terrific especially tarks and Charlie Taylor

To draw any premier League game away is a good result...and a clean sheet magnificent.

Defensively worked hard and good overall (although they fluffed a couple of opportunities) however going forward we can really lack ideas at tmes

Commentator said that Sarfgate could do worse than pick Pope, Tarky and Mee for England.

One ponders how peoples perceptions have changed.

2 months ago we were struggling to get a result ... now unbeaten in 6 ... 4 wins ... 2 draws.

Just gone 9th (other results can and probably change that) 4 points off 5th and some people are now (almost) whining we are sh!te again.

Bloody hell people what do you want... 1st 0-0 with the barcodes since 1950? something ....

Yes it wasn't a classic going forwards, Newcastle marshalled Vyds (Woody when he came on) and Jay very well... just as we were magnificent once again defensively.... I reckon you all would have taken a point at 3pm ... I know I would.

Thats 38 points from 28 matches ... 10 games to go.

Come on you Clarets.

I don’t think we were negative at all. We were just off our best game. The poor passing disrupted whatever plan we had.

An away point in this league is never a bad result. We can't win every week! Two tough games next up though.

We were a bit below par today all over the pitch and when you aren't playing well its important to keep things tight at the back - which we did.

Pope and the back 4 were very good. Again.

Far too many people clearly just love to have a whinge......about anything. Instead of accepting that sometimes we just don't play particularly well and have to battle for a point.

It's not a bad result.
Knowone said it was a bad result.
They were there for the taking but we created nothing.
They played dwight out of the game. Closed Taylor down quickly. We played highball once wood came on.
Bad game of football all round. Should of passed up my ticket to someone who didn't get one.
Sorry

No complaints about the result or performance, I’d rather have seen us lose trying to win the game, nothing to lose but played like we had everything to lose in the final 30 minutes.

After the Villa defeat you would have killed for defensive displays like this and of recent. This stout defensive display is our real DNA-long may it

We both nulled each other out of the game.. unfortunately we don't have a midfield that has that spark and creative stance in there locker.
We were far to sloppy in the 1st half especially Hendrick who kept giving it away.
I would love to see a player like Almeron in our squad, but we certainly need a right winger in the summer

Thought Mee was rash more than once, and both hit numerous long balls often with no real threat or accuracy.

I shudder at the thought of Mee playing in a national competition against world class forwards, hes often shown up a couple of times a game by some average ones.

If you just look at the defence rather than the rest of the team, that was as good as it gets. If I were Southgate, I would consider putting Pope, Taylor, Mee and Tarkowski in the England side. It won’t happen as they want players to be more creative, but in terms of defending the goal that’s how it’s done!

Do you actually understand football? Nothing to lose? We had one point to lose, it could be the difference between a place higher finish. But hang on a minute, you’d rather see us lose, how does that work with your quest to qualify for Europe? 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think wins are vital to snatch a European place and I desperately want to see us get there again. I thought we played negatively and accepted the draw with 30 minutes left to play when 3 points would’ve been absolutely huge. There’s absolutely no guarantee we’d have won had we of shown more positivity, we could well have lost the game but I’d have took a loss on the chin to desperately try to snatch those precious 3 points. I think it’s obvious I wouldn’t rather see us lose the game but of course you took what I said quite literally to bicker. We played well to restrict for a Dyche smash and grab with 30 to go but instead we retreat into our shell and accept a point which in all likelihood will see us drop 2 places further back in the chase.

Shows how well Dyche is doing it’s gone from we are sleepwalking to relegation to we really need to be winning these games to qualify for Europe.

An outstanding defensive display against the lowest scorers in the division. A point is a good result but I was there and I find actively playing for a 0-0 pretty hard to stomach. Newcastle have got nothing up front so I feel like we could have played a slightly more open match and beat them with our superior forwards.

Watching Charlie Taylor recover and catch one of the fastest players in the league, I formed the opinion that he is currently, the best left back in England.

The timing of his recovery interceptions was exceptional.

I would not grumble if Pope Tarkowski Mee and Taylor were selected as a unit.
