Seven undefeated....

Post by jurek » Sat Mar 07, 2020 7:44 pm

....I make it
And just six weeks ago we were (well most of us, myself included)
looking likely we were going to get into a relegation struggle.

Assuming all clarets are more than happy bunnies now.
I'm delighted especially with some of the performances too.

Just to put it into perspective that's
P7 W4 D3 F10 A4

Given some of the teams we've had to play
that's as good as it gets.

Come on you Clarets!

I'd never be unhappy at seven unbeaten, especially as you say given the opposition but we really have thrown four points away v Arsenal and Spurs.

8 unbeaten last season, started with beating West Ham at home on Boxing Day,and ended at Newcastle when Westwood among others were missing.

Felt like a loss, still does. How far we’ve come when drawing against Champions League finalists feels like a loss

In them 7 ManU, Arsenal and Spurs haven’t troubled Englands number 1. Needed a pen to beat him.

We’ll be very lucky to equal that, next week against Man City. It’ll be some achievement if we do.

Now eight on the trot would be rather special.

Bring it on.

Maybe then, even Gary Linekar would give us some credit?

Nah.

We've nothing to lose next week, let's just play and enjoy it, with City out of Europe and no chance of winning the prem, the Cups are most important

Only four? Over the season it should have been a lot more, but that's football.

City have pride and nothing to lose. They will be trying to push Liverpool all the way in the PL (well, for 3 games at least) and Pep will be wanting to go out of Europe as European Champions.

They have a tough games v Arsenal and the 2nd leg against Real Madrid either side of our game against them.
