Yellow cards

Post by jtv » Sun Mar 08, 2020 11:26 am

Cut off for 10 yellows is match week 32 - 3 games to go. What are our players on currently, and what is the ban for 10 cards?

After re-watching yesterdays highlights how they didn’t get yellows for the two fouls on JRod, one that led to our goal and the other was Dwights FK saved in the top corner, is beyond me.

It's a 2 game ban, the Palace game is the cut off for 10 yellows.

5 yellows = 1 game ban
10 yellows = 2 games
15 yellows = 3 games

Ten Yellow cards

Post by mdd2 » Mon Mar 09, 2020 10:20 pm

Westy on 9, Tarks and Jeff Hendrick on 8 and still 4 games to go before an amnesty until 15 yellows if the cut off is after the second Sunday in April and not after 30 games.

Oops sorry Bosscat and thanks for the clarification-just have to hang on for 3 games for Tarks. Westy is bound to get one in the next three and as other have said a chance for Brownhill.

Two match if a player gets 10 yellow cards BEFORE Matchday 32, I think (or does the rule INCLUDE Matchday 32?)
Rule states: if a player has accumulated 10 yellow cards BY match-week 32 they will be handed a two-match ban.
Matchday 30 = Man City
Matchday 31 = Watford
Cards:
Westwood 9 = avoid a yellow card in next two matches
Hendrick 8 = avoid two yellow cards in next two matches
Tarkowski 8 = avoid two yellow cards in next two matches
Mee 7 = should be ok

Up to and INCLUDING a team’s 32nd game so three to go

Rule states '5 yellow cards BEFORE match week 19' and '10 yellow cards BY match week 32'

What a strange way to word a rule. Why the lack of consistency in wording?
Can anyone come up with a logical explanation for this?
The term "before" is of course totally unambiguous.
